Sarah and her girls

Sarah and her girls came over to play today. They flew in yesterday and we got to spend the whole afternoon today with them. The cute curly headed girls played hard!! They had a great time together. I have so much fun with Sarah and loved her visit. The girls went from playing in the play room to watching Aladdin to playing outside. We had some yummy pizza for dinner and it was hard to get them to eat because they just wanted to play.

There were a ton of ladybugs out in the yard....
and the girls loved looking at them all.

I couldn't get them off the trampoline. They were on and off of it all afternoon.

Miss Aube on the slide.

And best buds.....love ya Sarah....I love it when you are in town;) I can't wait until Wednesday!

Jordyn

My sweet little baby is growing up so fast. She finally got that tooth through!! Phew!! That one was a toughie. She now has her bottom left cuspid to complete the set and has a total of 16 teeth!!! I think that is all she has left until her two year old molars or at least I hope;)

She is growing so tall too even though I still call her shorty. She still drags her pant legs so I always have to roll them up. Her hair is getting so long too and it is looking to be curly like her sister's hair! Yay!

Miss Jordyn is getting over the bottle pretty well. We had a couple of bad times the first night and nap that she had without it but now she will only cry for like a minute and then she's done. She was waking up a little at night too but that is getting better as well (partly because I'm not going in unless she is screaming;) So not bad at all. I am having a hard time getting her to drink very much milk now out of her sippy cup but we are still trying. She absolutely loves to have her blanket with her in bed and snuggles up with it and loves how soft it is. It's so stinking adorable.

She is saying a lot of words!!! Just recently she wanted something that my dad was eating and she pointed to it and said 'bite'!! I can't even remember all that she is saying! She also babbles like crazy. If either one of us is on the phone, she wants it so she can talk to. And she will walk all around the room while she talks. (I don't know where she gets that from;) She even pauses in between like a conversation when she is talking on her fake phones. I need to get her babbling on video because it's so cute. She has her own little language. She will even read books to us and point.

J.J. loves, loves, loves dogs and animals. I think she might become a vet or something. She screams dog and points to it whenever she sees one while we are out or if she sees one on tv. Or anything that she sees actually. She gets very excited when that commercial with the dogs hanging out the windows of cars. We need to teach her the different names of animals though because she will even call the rats on 'Enchanted' dogs too;)

She loves her sister so much and wants to do everything she is doing. Makenna likes to take toys from her and she will make a fit at first but if you give her something else, she will be perfectly happy. I have a feeling though that she will start to protest that very soon and not be so willing to give up that certain toy (pink stroller;)

Jordyn is a very easy going baby girl and we just love her so much and are so happy that she came to our family.

4 in 3 weeks???

I can't believe my baby is going to be four years old!! Four years old is that much closer to school!! She is getting so big and just seems so grown up! I have some fun stuff planned for her again! Instead of a big party last year, we opted to just concentrate on Makenna and take her to where she wanted. Click here for last years fun. I think this year will include bowling and pedicures! I'm so excited to have fun with my sweetie;)
And I'm going to be putting cute baby pics of her in the old pics section throughout the month.

Sarah's coming and an update on Makenna's leg!

My bestest friend Sarah is coming into town this week!! I can't wait! I'm going to have to get busy on cleaning my house though;) I have been concentrating on having fun with my kiddos, i.e. bowling, park, etc. but my house doesn't look so hot because of it. I'm glad I did though. Cleaning will wait but my kids will keep on growing before my eyes. We are planning on just hanging out and letting the kids play when she comes. Bella and Makenna haven't seen each other since last Christmas so I'm excited!! We are going to order pizza and visit while the girls play. Especially since they will have just arrived the day before and will probably be tired. Then next week, Sarah and I are going to Phantom of the Opera! She has never been and it's an awesome show! And then I get to see her one more time before she leaves and it just happens to be on Makenna's birthday!! I love that Bella will be here for her birthday and we will definitely be doing some fun stuff. I will eventually be getting to the bowling and park pics sometime this week. Just not tonight.Ü I have to go to the dentist tomorrow for a couple of fillings which I'm not too thrilled about. But it will be over and then maybe I will have the desire to blog;)

And just an update on Makenna's leg. We finally got into her doctors appointment this last week and got approval to play at the playground and do stuff (hence the fun activities from last week). He also said we need to come back in six months to make sure the bones in her leg aren't growing at different rates. We also had to deal with the not so nice nurse again!! She's really shouldn't be in pediatrics. She does not do well with kids. At least the little kids. Maybe she is better with teenagers...who knows. Thankfully the doctor is nice but still!! She does all the x-rays and all the extra stuff. Makenna seriously cried and moped the whole way there because she didn't want to see this lady. My mom and I kept trying to calm her and tell her that we won't let her hurt her (she cut her on both sides of her leg while removing the cast) See here to remember (she screams hot when she was cutting her and I had no idea;( No wonder!) She cried for at least a week and a half after that saying she didn't want to see the mean lady again!! It was so sad. It was horrible making her see a lady that was mean to her. She pretty much freaked out like I thought she would. I told the nurse that she pretty much traumatized her and that she cried about it for a week and a half afterwards because I wanted her to know that she was mean. The nurse just chuckled and said, "yeah, some kids take it different. Some kids say it tickles." Um.....no lady!!! You came at her with a saw, gave her no warning or explanation for a little girl and cut her twice and you expect her to say it tickles?!?!?! I was just like whatever! And then we go to take the x-ray and I had told Makenna that she can take her Woody doll with her and he will help her. Well, we get back there and Makenna freaks out because we forgot her Woody. I said, "Oh, hang on, we forgot Woody!" She snottily remarks, "there can't be anyone else in the radiation room!!" Um....it's her doll!!! First of all, I came with two females....my mom and Jordyn and second I wouldn't name my son Woody so who the heck do you think I was talking about??? Weirdo!! Anyway, we got Woody and we finally got the x-ray and the go ahead to play. And needless to say we have been playing a lot which I will have to blog about soon! And I'm happy to say that we won't have to see that mean lady for six more months!!!

Look out...I'm being crafty again

Actually, do you call cupcakes crafty? Lol! My mom and I made these cute cupcakes for my sister's shower!! We decided to try it out first to see if it would turn out. The fondant is actually really easy to use when you are making stuff out of it. I don't know how hard it would be to cover an entire cake with it but we are going to try that next!! Anyway. I love how they turned out!!

Sigh....I hate taking things away;(

I have a few things to blog about but I'm not in the mood right now. I'm listening to my baby scream when she should be taking a nap;( I gave her a sippy cup last night with her milk and so I decided that now will be the time to take the bottle away. Why, I don't know but I figure if I started, I might as well continue. She (I) have gotten in the bad habit of giving her a bottle when putting her to sleep and now I'm reaping the rewards of that. I didn't think it would be bad since she falls asleep alot without her bottle too. So, I figured if she was tired enough, she will just sleep. I was wrong. We went to the park today and played and played and instead of enjoying a well deserved nap, she has been crying in her crib ever since we got home. I hate hearing her cry and it tears my heart out!! I hope this doesn't last long. Oh, and her tooth is still not here;( That was a reason why I was waiting on taking the bottle away but it was just taking way too long.....Anyway, onto cuter subjects;)
Makenna snuggled Jordyn the other day on my bed. She kept tucking her blanket on her and Jordyn actually stayed and played along. Hopefully, this is what it will be like when they are older;)

Trying to get back on track

I have really been trying to get back on track with my weight loss. It's just not happening. I gained some back and that really aggravated me. At first I thought it was some bloat but I don't think that now;) And it's so weird because my scale says a different number than my Wii fit. I really didn't care about the number. I just wanted to feel good but it's both right now. Ugh! I am really just lacking the motivation right now. I know that once I start back up again and get past that first week, I will be fine. It's just getting there. I usually start my day off great and then somewhere after lunch it goes downhill. And then I figure, I've already had a bad day so I might as well enjoy;) Another problem is it's been too cold to bike ride. I could always count on that daily hour of exercise and I haven't been getting it. I've been trying to do my Wii fit more often and that has been really good but then I go a few days in between doing it. I tried this new dvd tonight that my hubby got me for Christmas and it's awesome!! It's the Tae Bo fat busting cardio one. I have like six Tae Bo's now and I've pretty much mastered most of them so I wasn't thinking this was going to give me anymore of a workout than the others. I was wrong!! It busted my butt. It was go go go the whole time and I feel so good after doing it. I will definitely have to try to add that into my routine a couple times a week and hopefully I can start to see that scale going the right way again;)

Jordyn was watching me do the workout and she wanted to do it too. It was a lot cuter right before I started recording but this is still cute!!

Funny Kenna

I told Makenna the other day that she could have a treat after she ate all of her lunch. I went into the den and after a few minutes she came in. I asked her if she ate all of her lunch. She said that she did and I asked her if she was lying or telling the truth. (I have been trying to explain that to her lately;) She looked at me and said, "I'm a lion!"

Ugh!!

What a week it has been. We are still waiting for Miss Jordyn to cut this last tooth of hers. It should be any day now. I can feel it right there but it is just taking forever to pop through the gums and make it's appearance. In the meantime, we have a very grouchy baby girl that only wants me to hold her while standing up!! Otherwise she screams. It is driving me nuts. That means I can't get much done while she is awake and my floor seriously needs to be mopped (the girls have been liking capri suns lately and they spill it everywhere). But it's all good because this too shall pass and until it does, my floor will be sticky;) Oh, and I have a dentist appointment today. I know you all wish you were me. My day is just screaming with excitement. Ü

The difference between girls and boys;-}

Since I only have girls, I have never had the pleasure of changing a boys diaper or potty trained a boy. And I never had to take a boy to the bathroom until today. We were at the grocery store and my sister had joined us with her two boys (I got the girls and she got the boys;) Makenna had to go potty and of course Gunnar had to go too. I really didn't know what to do. I asked my mom what to do with him. She said he will just do it. So off I went with two little three year olds. I went to one of the family bathrooms and I had Makenna go first. I carefully put tons of paper all over the toilet (I hate public bathrooms) and then carefully placed Makenna on the toilet and held her up so she didn't touch anything. After she was done, I told Gunnar it was his turn. He just pulls down his pants and aims. Well, my cute little nephew is pretty short so the toilet was a bit taller than he was and he started to pee all over the toilet. I quickly pick him up thinking that it will just go in the bowl. Nope! It went all over the floor and the toilet seat before he finally directed it into the toilet at the very end. It was actually quite funny because it truly was like a hose out of control!! I also realized that taking a boy to the bathroom is actually easier since he doesn't have to actually touch the toilet. You just have to make sure the hose is directed to the right place;)

Some cute pics per request

Grandma requested some pics and I always love an excuse to post more pics of my babies;)

Enchanted is J.J.'s favorite movie right now and she will come running if she hears me put it on and will stand in front of the ottoman like this. She puts her arms on it with her head up and leans back and enjoys.

And of course they always have to dance to the songs in the movie.

I also decided to just take a bunch of random pics with my camera and I think these are adorable......
J.J. was sitting on the stairs and the sun was coming in the window just right. Love these;)

I put a necklace on for church and Makenna wanted one too. I found this one (don't even remember where I got it) and she loves, loves, loves it! It's Cinderella's slipper and she wanted to show it off for the camera.

Cheese!!!

Cheese!!!
And I wanted to document another tooth for Jordyn. She got her upper left cuspid yesterday, 2/3 (I think.....she hasn't been letting me feel for it) and so we only have one more left that needs to come through at the moment!! Yay!!

I just love this girl

My Kenna just cracks me up. She surprises me sometimes with the silly things that come out of her mouth.

Today at church, there was a man behind us that had apparently closed his eyes, and Makenna says real loud, "Look Mom, he's tired!!!"

The other day I was driving my mom to go get their car out of the shop. We told Makenna that we were going to Uncle Danny's work (since he works at Ford) and she only heard "we are going to work". She yelled out, "But we can't go to work.....we are 'girls'!!!"

Travis went to dinner with other fellow band directors and so he wasn't at home as early as he normally is. Makenna did not like this at all and kept asking when Daddy was going to get home. She started to get really panicky when it started to get dark. I told her it was fine and she said, "But Daddy can't drive home in the DARK!!!"

One day, Makenna had given me a long day full of Mommy, Mommy, Mommy!!!!! She finally gave me one last Mooooooommmmmyyyyy!!! I turned around and yelled, "WHAT!??" She replied softly, "I love you!" (Put me in my place real quick)

I was lying with my head on Travis' leg today after church and Makenna comes back in the room and goes....."Ahhhhh....Mommy, do you like Daddy???"

And finally, she is such a good little mini Mommy! The other day Jordyn woke up very cranky from her nap. She didn't want to be held but she didn't want to be put down. I finally laid her down and was going to just wait until she cried herself out since she wouldn't let me comfort her. Jordyn was just laying on the floor, flat on her back screaming and Makenna kneeled down next to her and started singing for her. At first, Jordyn didn't respond but Makenna kept singing different songs and very quickly Jordyn stopped crying to listen to her. It was so precious. I wish I had her patience. She also bit a bunch of grapes in half for Jordyn since she is too little to eat them whole.
I just love this little girl;)
