We're going on a trip in our favorite rocket ship;)

Compared to a lot of people, I haven't been to too many different places. I've been to California and Utah a ton of times but not much further out from there. A couple of years ago, we went as far as Missouri and Illinois but I have never been to the East coast. Well, that's about to change!!! My parents are going on a trip back east in July and taking us with them!!! They got ridiculously cheap plane tickets and they are both NONSTOP!!! Can you believe that??? It's the best time to go since J.J. will be under two and free and I'm not prego! The humidity kicked my butt in Nauvoo when I was pregnant with Jordyn so it will be nice not to be on this trip. We are starting in Kirtland, then Niagara Falls, Palmyra (with pageant), New York City, Gettysburg and finally Washington D.C. We are so excited! Does anyone know these areas well and know how to get around best? We were thinking about staying outside of NY and then taking a train in or something but not sure exactly where to do that or how to do it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The difference a year makes;)

Wow!!! I just can't believe that this is my beautiful baby girl. She just looks so grown up in this picture. I finally took her to get her four year old pics today and I just can't get over how gorgeous she is. She truly is growing so much everyday.

Her hair is still so short in this pic from last year. It's finally growing along with her now;)

I tried to get a pic of Makenna with her sister too but the little one wouldn't cooperate. It will only be home pics of her for awhile. I can't wait until Jordyn just gets up there and cheeses for the camera too;-)

I love to hear sweet babies when they are learning words. Miss Jordyn makes me smile whenever she says certain words.

Grandma= Mama

I love my new nickname, Mimi. I know I should correct her when she says it (and sometimes I do) but I just love to hear her say it. There is just something precious about it. And she uses it a lot when she wants me. She yells it over and over. I actually thought she had switched it to Mama at the store the other day but she was actually saying Grandma because she saw my mom and was calling for her. And I love how she calls her Lady. It's just so sweet. I'm sure there are more that I can't think of right now but I can update later.

I'm published!!!

I finally turned my blog into a book!! I was wondering how good it was going to look with how much work I put into it but I love it!!! I think it turned out great! I'm not a big scrapbooker and I'm thinking this may be what I use to make my baby books. That way I don't have to worry about glue coming off and you have to print out digital scrapbooking anyway. If I was more creative, I would scrapbook normally but for me, this will work better. I'm so excited! Here are some pics of my new book!

I had a few extra pages so I added a couple of pages that showed the growth of my girls throughout the year. I wish I had made some things bigger but you never know how it's going to look. Now I know for next time;)

I started my blog at the end of 2007 and so I made it for that and the whole year of 2008 and I'm going to make them for every year. It is a wonderful way to journal with pics!!

Not scared of anything

Makenna was so scared of the vacuum. She still is a little bit. But not our Miss Jordyn. Whenever I get the vacuum, she runs toward it. She has never been scared of it. A lot of the time she gets in the way because she will just stand right in front of me and move right along with me. I even bought her a miniature vacuum for Christmas because she likes it so much. Maybe she will be my good cleaner when she is old enough to clean because of her love of the vacuum. Or at least I can always hope so;-)

The church and the real world

I just made an observation last night at work. If I talk to people at church and tell them that I want just one more baby, they will say, "just one more???" But if I tell people at work that I want one more, they will say, "you want ANOTHER one???" I keep getting these weird looks whenever I say I want three kids to people at work. They think I'm absolutely crazy. But then they always say...."oh you want to try one more time for a boy." Well, yeah, but at the same time, I would want one more even if I had one of each but I find myself agreeing with them. I just say, yeah, that's it. I want to try for that boy. Why do some people think that having more than two children is just an absolute crazy thing to do? Either way, I know what my heart desires;)

My sweet J.J.

My baby will be 19 months old tomorrow! She is getting so big and saying so many words. Her latest are outside, bite, Lady, Mimi (mommy), bye bye, Jesus, thank you, AMEN, etc. She is such a fun character and lately is a little daredevil. She has started to climb up on the kitchen table and stand there like she is queen. She also figured out how to climb up the stairs to the big slide and scares me half to death every time she attempts it. She is not content in going down her little slide. Oh no. She has to go down the big slide like her sister. I wouldn't mind if there wasn't a big drop on the side of the stairs and I don't trust her to pay attention enough not to fall. Ugh. I'm hoping this one isn't as broken bone prone as her sister. She makes us smile all of the time from her 'looks that could kill' to her sweet laugh. She is also very shy around people she doesn't know. If people at the store even look in her direction, she ducks her head down and hides. It's so adorable. She also embarrasses us in church when her daddy is leading the music in Sacrament. Whenever she sees him, she starts screaming 'Dada' and pointing!! She hasn't quite taken to nursery yet but we will keep on trying. I'm hoping to be able to just drop her off and go to class really soon;=}

She has also started praying with us. One day she just plopped down on her knees. I helped her to say one and now she wants to say one all the time. We kind of got it on video. It's hard to hear but she repeats after me (in her gibberish) and will say AMEN whenever she is done. Love it!!

And I had to add Makenna's prayer as well. She went awhile where she didn't want to say them but we finally convinced her that we love to hear her prayers and now she loves to say them again. I love the prayers of little children.

Backyard fun

The only thing we got done during spring break was our backyard. But it was a HUGE job. There were so many weeds, it was ridiculous. Thankfully, it was beautiful weather and the girls just played out there while we worked.

I got all the weeds pulled (well, at least most of them;) and Travis did the lawn and stuff and we rewarded ourselves with a nice evening with smores.

My crazy Kenna. It was a nice family night after all that hard work and now we have a yard we can really enjoy. We just need to keep it up this time so it's not such a big undertaking next time;)

Baby brother

Ever since my sister had her baby boy, Miss Kenna has been asking for a baby brother too. I told her not right now but she has been persistent. She asks me all the time especially on Sundays when we see the baby. The other day she came to me and said she had a baby brother in her tummy and she was going to go to the hospital just like Aunt Sara. I guess she figured she would take matters into her own hands;)

Happy Easter from us

We went to church and spent time with both sides of our families. We had a great Easter.

Shark Reef

They give free tickets to teachers and a guest at the Shark Reef and since the girls were free, we got to have a fun morning for nada! The girls loved it! I couldn't get Makenna to look away very often to take pics and Jordyn loved all the fish!

I'm so glad we went and that we went early. As we came out, the line was gigantic. It was a fun family day;)

Yummy!

It's not as much fun to have birthdays anymore. Well at least the getting older part. I do enjoy being able to sleep in and have some of this.......without guilt.....yummy!

A very happy little girl!!! She was thrilled that she got to wear the shoes this time.

We took Makenna bowling the Friday before her birthday and she had a blast. It turned into cosmic bowling at the end and she didn't want to leave. It was quite awesome with the pretty lights and music;-)

She is turning into quite the pro. I didn't do so good this time;( There were times that Kenna's score was way too close to mine! Lol!
