My injury!!

A lady in our ward has been teaching Zumba at our church building a couple times a week and I love it!! It's a great workout and you work up a sweat while having fun! A couple of weeks ago, I went to another church to do it and we had to go into the Primary room because the scouts were setting up their pine wood derby! We even had the room scheduled but we were nice since they had half of it set up! They should know they need something scheduled for something big like that! And they could have done it AFTER we worked out because we don't stay that late! But o-well. So we ended up doing it in the Primary room that has CARPET!! I guess I will never do that again because my foot caught and it went one way and my body went the other way which made me totally off balance. I then had to put my hand down to catch myself. It all hurt!! My foot hurt from being turned and my arm hurt from all my weight landing on it! I limped out to the car and cried all the way home. It swelled up fast and was very hard to walk on. I was praying that it wasn't broken! This is what it looked like that night:(

I decided to wait to see how my foot felt the next day before I went to the doctors. It still hurt like crazy but it felt better and since it continued to feel better each day, I never went. I just figured it must have been deeply bruised if it continued to hurt less and less! This is what it looked like about a week later! The bruise had spread across the whole top of my foot and stayed pretty swollen. I just kept it wrapped up as much as I could.

And this doesn't show it very well but my arm was pretty bruised as well. Actually, two weeks later, my arm hurts worse than my foot which is really weird. It must have taken longer to settle in. I can still feel it a little where I hurt it but I did both an exercise dvd and I went back to Zumba for the first time and I felt good. I only felt it when I was jumping on one foot so I stopped doing that just to be careful! I'm excited to get active again! I realized that I don't like not being able to do what I want. I guess I better be more careful:) 

Ahhh...she's growing up!!

I had Makenna do her homework one day and I found her with this in her pocket!! It's her Daddy's ipod! She was even able to change it to Aladin's "A Whole New World" :)

Sweet little man

Aiden had his nine month check up today!! He weighed in at 20 pounds 4.5 ounces (40%), 28 1/2 inches (50%) and 60% for his head. I guess he must have had a growth spurt at his last check up because his percentages were in the 90's and now they are the 40's and 50's. I don't understand that though because there aren't too many 20 pound 9 month olds so he may have just misread it:) Either way, he's my cute chunky monkey!! He's eating a ton!! He loves graham crackers, ritz and toddler foods! He's sleeping 10 hours straight at night and is such a happy baby!! It also sounds like we have been lucky with the sickies because there is a ton of RSV going around!! We haven't had to go the doctor's at all this winter for sickness (knock on wood) and I hope we keep it that way. Of course we have had our little colds and a lovely bout of the stomach flu (which Aiden avoided because of Mommy's milk;) but we haven't had anything serious! I just hope we didn't bring anything home from the pediatrician's office:) Mr. Aiden has also taken a few tumbles off of the stairs! He can't seem to stay off those bottom two stairs!! Everything seems to go in his mouth as well!! I am always finding little beads or things that are the girl's toys. He keeps us on our toes and makes us smile all the time!!!

Jordyn has been wanting to feed Aiden so I decided to let her do it one day when I was busy! I figured what the heck? I was sure she would make a mess but it wouldn't matter if some of it made it in his mouth:)

Snow in Vegas!!

Ok!! I think this is the last post that I have that is OLD! I think I might be current again!! Yay!!

Proof that it does snow in Vegas!!

It snowed at the beginning of the month!! It doesn't happen very often but it's so beautiful when it does. It seems like it is happening more and more though:)

Trav's birthday!

I'm not sure if I posted this picture so I had to do it again:) It's adorable!! I took it on the day after Christmas because we were in Disneyland on the Sunday beforehand.

Trav's birthday is on New Year's Eve and we celebrated with pizza and rainbow chip cake!!

Trips of a Lifetime!

As I was thinking about what to get my parents for Christmas, I had the thought to make them a book of all the pictures from our trips that we have taken over the last few years! My parent's camera broke right at the beginning of our last big trip so I wanted them to have a bunch of our pictures put together! It took a long time to do but I was very proud of it when it was done:)

Christmas night!!

We usually spend the rest of Christmas morning with my parents and siblings but my Dad had to work all day so it turned into Christmas night! We had yummy chicken wings for dinner and frosted and decorated sugar cookies while we waited for him. Poor Aiden was so tuckered out from all of the fun that he fell asleep!!

Once Dad got home, we opened up our presents!! Aiden was super fussy so I gave the camera to Travis so I could take care of him! That is why we have all of three pictures of that night!!! Kinda irritated about that but what are you going to do??? :) Here is all I have of that night!!

We had a great Christmas night!! We are usually alone on the evening of Christmas so it was nice to be around family!!

Christmas Morning

On Christmas morning, we waited until the kids woke us up and we all went down together!! Both of the girls got scooters and they were thrilled!! (That is all Makenna asked for really!)

We got them to get off their scooters for a minute to open some other presents! These are snow globes from Disneyland!! Mom and Dad gave Santa a heads up:) I love how Mahler is right in the middle of things!
