I'm conducting!!

Jordyn copies everything Makenna says and does....literally!! Makenna has been 'conducting' and so Jordyn decided she wanted to do it too. She did it randomly one night and I was able to get a pic of it. They hit the top of the stand with their 'baton' (don't know where they got that from) and then they start waving their arms. Of course they steal some type of music sheet from their Daddy as well and even turn the pages like they are using it. This time Jordyn is conducting Makenna playing this train whistle thing. It's really too cute!! :)

Sweet little chubby cheeks!

I had an ultrasound this morning and got to see our beautiful baby boy!! He looks just like his sisters and I'm in love already!!
He was starting to smile in this pic:) It was so precious.

He was snuggled up with the placenta so part of his face is blocked but it's so cute!!

He is measuring two weeks early and is already 4 pounds 6 ounces (which is a pound more than he's supposed to be at the moment:) They are going to do another ultrasound at 37 weeks and I'm sure schedule an induction date then. Thankfully the cyst in my placenta seems to be gone so we don't have to worry about that but my blood pressure was a little high so they are going to watch that in the next appointments.

I am looking forward to seeing this baby boy and having him outside of the belly but I also need more time to get things ready for him. Especially since we haven't completely narrowed down the name for him;)

Shhhh.....sweet baby!

I sing to my little ones every time I put them to bed. It teaches them the words of songs I love from an early age and shows them how much I love them. I guess it also teaches them how to be a mommy as well. I saw Jordyn singing 'I Am A Child of God' to her baby yesterday. It was so sweet and tender.

She then laid her down and told her baby, "Sleep good sweetheart. See you when you wake up!" Lovin it!! :)

Makenna did and still does this as well and she even turns her humidifier and night light on for her babies and tells us we are being too loud! Her baby is sleeping...don't you know???

Visiting with Grandma Great

My sweet friend Sarah is going through a hard time right now. She just lost her Grandpa and it made me think of how we need to not waste a single minute and enjoy our family while we have them here. My Mom asked if I wanted to go with her to go visit my Grandma and I told her that I would love to. My girls and I love to visit with my Grandma.

The girls always have a great time. It was a beautiful day to play outside and then they decided to play with Grandma's walker:) Makenna kept walking across the room saying, "I'm old....I'm so so old!!" It was hilarious. I have no idea where she got that from:)

And then of course Jordyn does everything that Makenna does so she had to have a run with the walker:)

They also took turns doing sommer saults and showing Grandma what they do in their dance and gymnastics classes! I hope she enjoyed it. We did:)

Big girl bed!!

Jordyn has started climbing out of her crib lately and would just walk right out of her room sometimes. Our stairs are right outside her room so we couldn't have her doing that. We put a child proof thing on her door knob so she couldn't get out and she wasn't too happy about that but she got over it. Since she could get out of her crib anyway, we decided to put her in a toddler bed to get her used to it before we put her in the same room with Makenna when the baby comes.

We put her bed in her room this afternoon and here she is checking it out and liking it:)

She was a little unsure when it was time for bed though. We left the crib in there since baby boy is going to be using it soon but it confused her. She kept pointing to her crib and saying, "up there". I put her books in her new bed though and that helped her lay down.

We just checked on her and she was out like a light and lying on the opposite side surrounded by all of her friends:) She's so cute!!

Pee Pee in the Potty!!

Since our baby boy will be in here in just two short months, I thought we would try to put Jordyn in some underwear today!! They are cute Tinker Bell ones. We aren't going anywhere today so I'm just going to try and put her on the toilet as often as I can all day and hope that it clicks with her.She doesn't really get it. She loves to sit on the toilet but then she just gets some paper and flushes. And then does it about three or four times. I put her on this morning (not thinking that she would go since she hasn't gone in the toilet yet) and she still wanted to get on for a third time. I was like oh fine!! And as soon as she got on, I heard the wonderful tinkle:) I was so excited. We did the pee pee in the potty song and she got a chocolate kiss! I tried to set the timer so we could go every so often but now she doesn't want to sit on the toilet. She wants to play and is too busy to sit. I guess we will see how it all plays out. I don't have much hope but we have to give it a try:)

Going shopping!

Miss Makenna likes to mimic her mommy. She has been carrying her baby around in a little carrier and has been a good little mommy. Today she decided that she was going to go grocery shopping. She got her Walmart shopping cart and put her baby in the front seat. Then went around the house 'shopping'.

She even made a list! I love the wipes on the bottom of the cart and the keys hanging out her pocket...just like her mommy:)

I do it!!

This is what my independent little two year old says to me all the time!! For everything!! And it's driving me crazy. She wants to do it herself! She wants to do the buckles on her seat belt by herself. She wants to put the tops of her sippy cups on all by herself. She wants to put her shoes on all by herself. She wants to put her food in the microwave and push the buttons all by herself. She wants to push the button to close the garage door all by herself. She wants to get up on the toilet to try to go potty all by herself (even though it looks like she is going to crack her head open climbing up). And my least favorite of all....she wants to put on her diaper all by herself. Some of these are obviously good because she is learning to do things 'by herself' but sometimes they are hard. Like the buckles one. Sometimes I have to fight her to even get her in her chair and I have to hurry up and put on her buckles so she doesn't squirm out but then she has a hissy because she wanted to do the buckles! I DO IT!! Ugh! I just wish that she would sometimes "let mommy do it!!" Or at least help:)

Into the 3rd

Trimester that is!! It actually started last week but I wasn't even paying attention. I just realized it a couple of days ago. I wanted to take a pic at the beginning of each trimester so this is for the third:) I feel gigantic!! I really can't believe I'm going to get bigger. I feel bigger than my last ones but maybe it's just me. I am also having heartburn all the time and am very thankful for tums:) He is very quiet during the day but decides to beat on me as soon as I decide it's time for bed. He's already giving me a hard time. Makenna felt him the other day and that was so sweet. I love that she is so excited about her baby brother. She is going to be such a good helper. Oh, and don't mind the frizzy hair in this pic. My flat iron decided to break this morning!

How come some ladies have a cute little ball at the bottom? Mine goes all the way up to my boobs:) I don't get it...lol.

PB sandwiches

My big girl has become self sufficient. She got cereal and milk for her and her sister last week and now she is making sandwiches!! She told me that she wanted to make it and I've been so tired lately that I was all for it. I couldn't believe how good she did. Now I just need to think of other things that she can do all by herself:)

need a date night!!

am feeling my baby a lot more. He must be getting big:)

guess I'm done working for now. My boss pretty much made the decision for me. I'm cool with it:)

can't watch the news very much anymore.

get very emotional over little things.

am still having lots of braxton hicks contractions!

would like to be more organized.

keep thinking about names but always go back to the first one we thought of.

can't believe it's February already. This baby will be here in just a short couple of months!!

am happy that the sickies are making an exit. I just hope that I don't end up with it now:) I have been pretty lucky so far.

miss my friend in Texas and will miss her even more when our babies are born around the same time.

am hoping that no news is good news on my glucose test. It's been a week.......:)

think Valentines Day is overrated but still like all the pink and the hearts and the candy and whatnot.

never know what to get my man on Valentine's Day.

am loving that there is more rain in the forecast!!

am excited for the Super Bowl even though I don't care about either team. It's just fun to get together, eat bar food and cheer on a team.

really should get off the computer and go to bed!!
