Six year old Princess

.....this in the blink of an eye!!!

I can't believe it's been SIX whole years since this beautiful baby girl joined our family!! She is such a sweet, sensitive little girl and is so loving to her siblings and family. She is also very active and friendly to everyone. Makenna will talk anyone's ear off that will listen to her:) She is doing very well in Kindergarten and amazes me how smart she is. She is the tallest one in her class (including the boys;) and everyone loves her. We are so thankful for Makenna and her sweet spirit in our home.

Happy Birthday Jordyn Jazz

(I have spaces in between each one but it keeps posting some of them together....grrr...o-well;)

Jordyn is very, very shy!! She buries her head into me when we are around anyone she doesn't see very often. We will also be walking into the store or church or anywhere and if a stranger is walking the other way, she clings to my legs and buries her head and won't start walking again for anything.

Jordyn has such a fun personality! She says words so cutely and makes us laugh all the time.

Jordyn loves to twirl her hair and often puts knots in the back of it.

Jordyn loves her 'jammas'! She loves putting her jammies on but also sometimes calls her regular clothes 'jammas' too! Travis had her shirt off for dinner and afterwards she kept yelling for her 'jammas' because she wanted her shirt back on.

Jordyn sleeps on her tummy when she goes to sleep. She doesn't want her blanket on her. She likes it bunched up so she can lay her head on it while she is in the fetal position. It's so cute.

Jordyn loves Little Einsteins, Enchanted, Bolt and now Blues Clues.

Jordyn hates her teeth brushed.

Jordyn loves her baths.

Jordyn has beautiful curly hair that is slowly getting longer.

Jordyn loves her Lady and loves to feed Lady her food whenever she can!

Jordyn loves M&M's, spaghetti O's, string cheese and unfortunately soda.

Jordyn will only eat the marshmallows from Lucky Charms.

Jordyn is learning so many words (and some colors) it's crazy. I love the way she says 'I love you'.

Jordyn loves to go barefoot (even outside). She has to get her shoes on to go outside but five minutes later or less, I will look out there and she has them off!!

Jordyn loves to play outside. She and I will be very happy when the weather cools off!!

Jordyn loves to sit like a big girl at the table even though she can barely reach it.

Jordyn loves her big sis and does everything she does.

Jordyn loves story time and knows all the actions to the songs.

Jordyn is such a sweet baby girl and we are so happy that she is part of our family!! We can't believe that two years have gone by already!! We love her so much!!

Alone at home!!! :)

Today is the first time that I haven't had either one of my kids in forever. Well, at least when I'm not going to work or on a rare date with my hubby. I am completely alone and I can't believe how much I got done!!! I wanted to make sure I took advantage of the non interrupted time. As soon as I got home, I cranked on the radio (twilight dvd;), vacuumed out the van and cleaned it out, watered my plants (they have been neglected lately;), picked up the upstairs, turned on the tv and turned it on something other than channel 10, picked up the downstairs and straightened up, vacuumed the whole downstairs, washed the dishes and about every sippy cup we have, cleaned the kitchen, threw away old food in the fridge, put some laundry in the washer and now writing this post!! Woohoo!! I think I'm going to like this joy school better than preschool! I get to drop off BOTH of my kiddos:) I love my baby girls but man...you can get so much done when they are off playing and having fun!!!

And I can't believe my baby girl is going to be two on Friday!!! Where did the time go??? We are just going to do a simple, go to the park with maybe some pizza and cake thing, with just the grandparents. Miss J.J. is very shy at the moment and she just buries her head when there are too many people around. So, I thought about what my girl would want and what would make her happy for her day and a playground with not very many people it is going to be!!

I think she also has more of her molars but she doesn't let me in her mouth that long to check before she bites me!! But this is to document that she has got at least a couple of them:)

Last Saturday we went over to Trav's sister's home to celebrate our niece Stephanie's birthday. It was a pool party and the girls were all about that!! They were both so excited. It was the first time this year that they got to swim in a big pool. It was pretty cold in the pool so I just hung out in the jacuzzi. Pretty soon all of the kids joined me as well.
I didn't get too many pics of Kenna's face. She was too busy;)

Jordyn kept going down the first step and jumping back out. She kept doing it over and over. Travis decided to dunk her and by the look on her face, she didn't like it much. It was just too cold for her. But she kept going up and down that first step and then joined me in the spa as well.

Ahhh....she got water up her nose. I think someone splashed her. She wasn't too happy about it but Daddy is taking care of it.

They had fun and we get to go swimming again this weekend. This time it is for my sister's little boy Mason. He is turning two!!

Birthday with Grandma and Grandpa

We got to celebrate at Grandma and Grandpa's (Trav's parents) on Saturday night after the museum and naps. We had some yummy KFC and all of the cousins came over to play. It was fun!

All Makenna kept saying that she wanted a purple cake for her birthday. I got it made on Saturday morning and she had to help and lick the batter;)

Happy Birthday to my Beauty!

I want to wish my beautiful little girl a very Happy Birthday!! She is four today! I can't believe how much she's grown in just a year. We are so thankful to have this sweet daughter in our family and am excited to enjoy this next year with her.

Happy fourth birthday sweetheart!! We love you so much!

Travis gives our nephew trumpet lessons and he gave Makenna a 'lesson' this week right before his. He taught her a note and she did it really well!! So, all week, she has been talking about her lesson. Daddy gave her a lesson. Daddy gave her a lesson!! Fast forward to this morning and I was busy doing dishes and the kids were playing. It was a little too quiet so I went to check on them and found this. She told me she was doing a lesson. She even got the stand out and put one of Travis' music books out! She is so stinking adorable!

Her daddy gave her this trumpet. It's not a great one but it's a good one for an almost four year old. She can drop it and not treat it well and we won't care;)

Makenna even put two chairs down so that Miss J.J. can sit next to her and watch!

At one point, she decided she didn't want to play that song and wanted to play something else. She turned the page and pointed to a section and said she wanted to play that song. She is such a cutie and I love that she is taking an interest in music. Travis will play classical music and she will say, "Dad, that's just like einsteins!"

I had a pic of her smiling but this pic just shows her cute personality. We went to the party store today to pick out her balloons and I thought she was going to pick out something princess. Nope! She was determined to have a Nemo balloon. She must have been inspired by the orange shirt that she just had to wear today. For weeks, she has been asking for a purple cake and now she has a Nemo balloon. It's just going to be a combo of all of her loves. Nemo, princesses....maybe some cars and Horton......;)

Makenna's birthday present

Miss Kenna is getting so tall that she is growing out of her toddler bed so we wanted to get her a big girl bed for her birthday. I've been looking online trying to find a cute affordable bed and I found this one that I really like. I think it's adorable. She did too. When we went to look at it at the store, she got under the covers and didn't want to leave!! Ü I'm thinking she liked the bedding too. I didn't tell her she was getting it for her birthday but she just told me that she hopes that she has that bed in her room on her birthday!

4 in 3 weeks???

I can't believe my baby is going to be four years old!! Four years old is that much closer to school!! She is getting so big and just seems so grown up! I have some fun stuff planned for her again! Instead of a big party last year, we opted to just concentrate on Makenna and take her to where she wanted. Click here for last years fun. I think this year will include bowling and pedicures! I'm so excited to have fun with my sweetie;)
And I'm going to be putting cute baby pics of her in the old pics section throughout the month.

Fun dayÜ

I was dreading turning 32 a couple of months ago but today it was no big deal. I realized you are only as old as you feel. Sometimes I feel all of those 32 years and then other times, my children make me feel like a kid again. Experiencing everything through their eyes. I had a wonderful day enjoying my family. I love having my birthdays on Sundays. Since I will never have to go to church as long as they have conference the first Sunday in April, I get to lounge in my pj's for as long as I want to. There is no rushing around. I get to have french toast and bacon that my hubby makes me. And I get to enjoy my family and relax with my kiddos (well kinda....they woke up at 6 and 6:30 this morning...thanks girls;). Thankfully, Travis let me go back to bed for an hour...thanks honey!! It was just a nice day spent with all of my family and eating some good food. And now I am going to go watch a movie and have some popcorn. Tomorrow I will definitely have to workout because I ate a lot!! But I don't care because that is what you are supposed to do on your birthday.Ü
