I need the cloud!!!

I was going to get our family pictures done and we were just going to go to Target but I decided to ask my friend who takes awesome pics to do ours. It was all planned but unfortunately she had to cancel. I made another appointment at Target but Travis said we should just do it ourselves since we have a nice camera. I thought it would just be easiest to take pics at my Mom's on Thanksgiving before we had dinner since we were going over there anyway. My friend said that the best times to do pics were right before sunset but I thought it would still be ok!! I was WRONG!!! I got nothing!!! Either no one is looking at the same time or else the light is in our eyes or the shade is making stripes on our faces!! Yeah, it looks like we are just going to have to sit in front of our tree before church one day and try to get a pic for the Christmas card or it will just be of the kids:) I wish I had the cloud like they are advertising on commercials so I could make a picture where my kids are all smiling and looking at the same time!! O-well!! Here are some of our pics anyway:)
Stinker Aiden wouldn't look!! And the sun is making these look foggy!!

Still not looking and Makenna is kind of frowning!

Now the girls aren't looking and Aiden looks like he's scared of something.

Way bright and I'm seriously squinting!! You like our dog over to the side?? He wouldn't leave us alone:)

And here are our shade stripes:)

Finally got a good smile from Aiden!

These ones aren't too bad except for my double chin:(

Love this little man!!

Trav and little man!

Um...yeah!!

Turns out Jordyn isn't such a good hairstylist after all!! According to Makenna, in her own words...."I was sitting on the toilet and Jordyn came in with her hand behind her back. She asked me if I knew what was behind her back and I said no. Then she jumped and said 'scissors' and cut my hair!!!" So apparently, Jordyn is a ninja and was able to cut her hair before Makenna could react. Thankfully, it is in the front so she will just have some cute bangs when it grows out a little bit. I'm just worried about the sides. She took a couple of chunks out of that too so we will either have to layer it in the front or maybe cut it a bit shorter. We will see what the hairstylist wants to do with it! Poor girl!! She kept thinking that we were going to make her bald like the conductor on the Polar Express. He is bald on the top but has hair on the sides and back. She is so funny!!

Need a new hair stylist?

Jordyn's friend Abbey came over for a play date today and I found them doing this! They were sitting in a hair stylist chair for the dolls and took turns doing their hair! I have no idea why they needed to be wearing sunglasses though:)

Beautiful

It's so beautiful outside that even Lady (who only goes outside to do her business and immediately comes back inside) sat out in it to enjoy the weather!! :)

This is how Lady is normally found!!! :-)

Best audience

Daddy was practicing his trumpet and all the kids wanted to chill and listen! I think they are the best audience anyone can have:) Aiden still isn't sure whether or not he likes it though.

New pics

Kiddie Kandids opened back up and since I always got the kids' birthday pics there, I thought I would swing in and get Jordyn's done. It's a couple of months late but at least I got it!! And since I was there, I figured I would get a pic of little man done as well:) They are so cute!!

Goings on.....

*I wanted to add two videos but blogger isn't letting me so check back again. It might be there later:)

Makenna is truly the big sister. She loves her sister and brother so much. She is also learning so much at school and absolutely loves it. In her homework, she has to draw pictures that start with a certain letter and she comes up with some great things. She also has to draw pictures of certain things and writes a sentence about it and she has to sound it out on her own. She really does a great job and I can figure out what she is writing most of the time:) She has also unfortunately started bringing home her fellow school mate's attitudes and manners. I'm having a hard time keeping her from talking back and being sassy. Fun times:)

Jordyn has been saying the funniest things lately and of course I forget them all once I start writing this post:) She learns a ton just from the things Makenna brings home from school. They learn their new words by singing songs with the tune of Jingle bells and Jordyn knows a lot of them just because Makenna sings them. Makenna asked me the real words to Jingle Bells so I was teaching them on the way to school and Jordyn has now incorporated the two songs. She will start it out singing Jingle Bells and end it with words starting with letter 'F'. It is so dang cute and I finally got it on video:)

It has now been seven months since little man joined our family! He is growing so fast and is so big. He is now getting up on his knees and rocking. He's so trying to get going. I'm content watching him rock. He can take his time. I am definitely not in a hurry:) Aiden is such a happy baby and will smile at you every time you look in his direction. He babbles constantly and loves to eat! I'm so thankful for such a good boy because he has to be in his car seat a lot while I'm running the kids around and he doesn't complain. He is so adorable and you can't help but love him once you meet him.

Goof ball!!

Miss Jordyn doesn't like to go to bed right away. She stays up and plays and plays much to the dismay of her sister who really would like to go to sleep. She ends up getting into things and this is how I found her one night when I went to tell her to be quiet for the tenth time!! She is such a silly girl!!

Undefeated!!

For the past six weeks, our Thursday nights have been spent at the ball fields watching Makenna playing soccer. Our stake is awesome and they do soccer and t-ball games that the kids can do for free at the ball fields behind one of our church buildings! I have fond memories of playing softball at this same park and I'm so happy that my kids will be able to do the same. Makenna loved it....even though she kicked it the wrong way a lot of the time:) She was just so excited to kick the ball that it didn't matter which direction it was going. She was very upset that this last Thursday was her last day. I do have to say though that our team was truly the best. None of the other teams could even come close:)
Here are some pics of my cute little soccer player! It looks like she threw Ocean and Anikin down to get to the ball:)

Look at the hair flying!! I kept asking her if she wanted me to put it in a ponytail and she didn't:)

Those are some nice high water pants she has on there! But she makes herself fall so much that I didn't want grass stains on any of her nice pants;)

Team picture!! There were three Pelican Creek teams and I think we must have been the best:) Go Ligers!!! (Tigers/Lions:)

So easily entertained

The girls love watching the trash truck (they even get the guys to honk the horn at them which I'm sure our neighbors enjoy when it is early in the morning:), fire engines, ice cream trucks, etc. We can now add street cleaners to that list. This one stopped right in front of our house to load up with water from our fire hydrant. Poor guy had an audience the whole time:) They were fascinated.

Our Halloween Festivities

*First of all, I just wanted to document that Aiden got his second tooth (the bottom right) yesterday!!
We had lots of parties for Halloween! Makenna had her party for her Kindergarten class and I was able to go and help out. She was so excited and kept telling all the kiddos that I was her mom. It was so cute. This is her waiting in line to walk the parade around the school.

Sitting next to Abe waiting to do all the fun crafts her teacher had planned. I got the table that had to paint every one's hands to do spiders. Lucky me:)

Class picture!

Then there was Jordyn's preschool party. I ended up dressing Aiden up as well. Isn't he adorable?

Jordyn as a witch without her hat. She was doing a craft....making a witch that is in front of her:) Isn't she adorable?

Playing games.

Jordyn throwing it in:)
Then it was to the ward's trunk or treat!!

Harry Potter!! He seriously is the cutest!!

Cute little witch!

Another cute little witch:)

On Sunday, we went over to Grandma and Papa's house for dinner and donuts!! It was the first year without Grandma Great so Mom and Dad made donuts that my Grandma did every year to keep up the tradition. They turned out awesome! I was thinking of Grandma that whole day:)
I was so pooped out on dressing the kids up by that time that I didn't dress Aiden up again and Joe and Papa took the girls out and did some trick or treating!! :)
I had tons of ideas for their costumes. I had thought about C3PO, R2D2 and Aiden as Yoda, Charlie Brown, Makenna as Hermoine (she just wanted to be a witch), and the Princess and the Frog:) Since Jordyn wanted to be a witch like Makenna, I made Aiden Harry Potter but I still had to get a pic of the Princess and the Frog since J already had the dress;)

And Makenna wanted a pic too:)
We had a great Halloween week. Happy Halloween Grandma!! We love you and miss you always!!
