Soaping it up in the sink!

The girls were taking a bath in the bathroom downstairs so while Trav soaped them up, I just put Aiden in the sink to wash him. He didn't know what I was doing at first but once he realized that there was water in there and that he could splash, he was a happy camper. He is so cute!!

And then of course, Jordyn got out of her bath and thought Aiden's bath looked so much more fun!!! She had to get in too. I let her get in for a few minutes:) And if you were wondering about that band aid on her forehead, she fell while riding bikes today and hit her head. She had a little bump but both of my girls have to have band aids for everything:)

First taste

Aiden got his first taste of the 'nectar of the Gods' (according to Travis....that would be Dr Pepper for me:) aka Mountain Dew.

He quite enjoyed it:)

He didn't want to let it go and now he gets all excited and tries to grab Trav's Mountain Dew whenever he has one. It's hilarious:)

Yard Sale finds!!

We don't normally go looking at yard sales. You just have to get up way too early on a Saturday to get the good stuff and you usually have to drive all over the place to find them. So, I love it when Community yard sales come up. A few months ago Aliante had a group yard sale and the very next week Eldorado did theirs. They are great because there are so many all in the same area and we found some great buys!!

We got the big picture in the middle for a steal!!! It's hard to see because of the glare but it's a picture of jazz musicians playing for a crowd. Travis saw this picture and had to have it! Usually they are like $100 or more especially with how big it was but we got it for so cheap!! This is in 'his' loft:) The smaller pic on the right is a man playing trumpet. I think the wall looks nice.

We also found these framed pics for super cheap. Trav then found an inexpensive mirror at Ross and tada.....we have a pretty, new wall in our front room! I love how it turned out!!

We also found a dog bed for Mahler for only $3, two booster chairs for $7, shoes for little man for $1 and a really nice stroller for $15 that I use ALL of the time!!! It's like my nice big one in a miniature version. It's nice that it's not as big but that I have storage and drink trays that I don't get with an umbrella stroller......Score!! We haven't gone out since but we probably will when they have those big community ones again:)

Yummy!!!

Every week Makenna has to do a circle map with a certain letter. She draws pictures of things that start with that letter. She made me laugh when I saw what she drew for the letter 'I'.

Maybe we go to In n Out too much:) If you look closely, she even drew our van talking into the order thingy! She calls it the salad burger place because she can get lettuce on her burger. Hilarious!! :)

Can you see the baby???

This was another picture I had on my phone that I think is adorable!! This was in September as well so Aiden is about five months old and I had to take both him and Jordyn to the store. Jordyn wanted to sit on the top (she isn't there now but she was;) so I had to put Aiden in the basket part!! Let's just say, shopping with kids is HARD!!! I hate it so I try to avoid it whenever possible! Anyway, his car seat takes up almost all of the basket so I had to shove stuff all around him and wherever I could find a spot. When I finally looked at him when we were checking out, I had to laugh!! Can you see the baby in all of that?? LOL!!

Valentine's Day Party!!

I was able to go to Makenna's class on Monday and help out with her Valentine's day party. She was beyond excited and it was fun to be there with her.

They did the calendar and then got down to business doing their fun stations. She was separating the colored hearts and counting them at this one:)

Decorating cupcakes!! They also made a Valentine for anyone they wanted. She made it out to Grandma and Papa:)

Coloring her hearts...at my table. She then cut out the hearts and glued it in order on a red sheet of paper. In the past, I always got the most difficult table so it was nice to have an easy one.

She also got to decorate her Valentine bag! Getting ready to pass out Valentines!! She had so much fun and they were quite sugared up after two cupcakes!! :)

Jordyn had her preschool party that day as well and she had a blast. This is the only picture I could get of her looking at me. I guess she likes to be shy for me too! I just love her heart pants! :)

Watching my sissies!

It's such a beautiful day outside today!! The girls are outside playing and Aiden is eating a pizza crust while he watches them. Can't get much better:)

Believe it or not but this handsome little dude will be one year old in just two short months!!! He is ten months old today and is growing so fast!! He truly is my second Valentine:)

Fun days at school!!

This week Makenna celebrated her 100th day of school! They had a party and they have dressed up in fun ways all week. Monday was backwards day. She wore her shirt backwards and I had the idea to french braid her hair 'backwards'. Makenna wasn't really excited about the idea but I convinced her and I think it turned out totally cute! I think she was happy about it too:)

I twisted the front and put it in a barrett. She is so adorable!! (And her bangs are finally growing out;)

Tuesday, she was supposed to wear a sports jersey. It's pretty sad that the last time I bought a jersey was when Steve Young was playing for the 49ers!! I am totally longing for the old days:)

This was her 100 day project. She had to make a picture with 100 of something. I wanted to make a cookie with 100 chocolate chips but I was overruled. She enjoyed her flower made out of colored marshmallows:)

Turtles!!

Here are some pics from my cell phone that I have wanted to blog about for months but I couldn't get them out of my phone! We don't have the fancy phones or plans so they stayed stuck for awhile:) But as we were showing this funny pic to my mother in law that I took on my phone, I had the idea that maybe she could e-mail them to me!! So I finally have these pictures somewhere other than my phone!!

These pictures are also very special to me because they were taken at my Grandma's house in September, about four months after my Grandma passed. No one is living in her house anymore and it will probably be foreclosed soon so I'm glad I have these last pics. The girls are feeding Grandma Great's turtle! My Grandma has always had turtles for as long as I can remember and I'm glad my girls got to see one.

Jordyn took longer to warm up to petting him but once she did, she had a big smile on her face!! :)
