Getting a move on

This little dude.....

wants....

to be.....

moving!!!

In just the last couple of days, Aiden has gone from HATING tummy time to going up on his toes and then onto his knees. He kind of throws his legs into that position. It's so cute. We are really going to have to make sure all the girls' little toys are picked up and put up high before he starts to get too mobile! It's exciting that he's learning something new but sad too. It means my little man is growing too fast!

Summer overview....swimming and movies!

Yes, I know Summer has been over for a month and that is pretty much how long this post has been waiting for me to publish. It's just been sitting there waiting for me and I'm finally going to do it! Our summer pretty much consisted of swimming and movies! We couldn't afford to go out of town this year but we still made it fun! Some of the movies we saw were Shrek 4 (cute), Toy Story 3 (very cute), Grown ups (hilarious), Eclipse (awesome), Vampires Suck (Oh yes I did!), Eclipse again (oh yes I did!) Inception (in Imax...amazing) and The Switch (funny). I think that is all of them!! I was just loving the movie theater:) I don't think I have ever gone to see so many movies in the theater in such a short amount of time before. I think it was because I had a newborn and I seriously NEEDED to get out of the house. And yes, I did take Aiden to most of these!! I didn't take him to Inception because it was in the Imax theatre and was soooo loud!! And I think I left him with Travis while I went to watch one of the Eclipse movies or the Vampire movie. I can't remember which. But even when I did take him, it was totally fine because I seriously have the best baby!! I usually nursed him at the beginning to which he would fall asleep for a little while and then once he woke up, he would just chill on my lap and watch the movie with me. I think he loved all the colors!! I was totally prepared to take him out if he got fussy but I never needed to because like I said before, he is the best baby!!
We also got to do a lot of swimming! We were invited to the house of a new family in our ward and got to know them better. We also went to the rec center once and was invited by my brother and Jen Orme to swim as well!! It was so nice because the girls just love to swim!! I really need to get them into swimming lessons next year for sure! I even got some color on my legs...something I haven't had in years:-) Here are some pics from our water fun.....
This is at Danny's townhouse pool.

My beauty!

Aiden just chilling!

Jordyn was such a daredevil. She kept wanting to jump off the side and into my arms!

And these are from Jen's house.....

Adorable Avery!

Jordyn chilling!

My cute girls!

Aiden just chilling again!
And I know you don't want to see a pic of my feet but I was so proud that I had an actual TAN LINE that I had to document it!!

Pumpkin patch and the farm!

We had a fun and busy weekend! On Friday, we took the kids to the pumpkin patch. Our good friends were hosting the night so we got free rides! The girls had a blast doing all the jumpy things and slides. Of course I had to take a picture!! This is the best one we got of all three of them. :)

I like this one of the girls. Too bad Aiden isn't looking:)
Off to the rides:)

Little dude just hung out!

Makenna....my dare devil!!

Daddy and Jordyn! That was their only time on the slide. Trav had a hard time climbing up it with Jordyn in tow.

Jordyn on the jumper.

Petting area....There was this goat that jumped up right after this and head butted the bunny right off the hay!! It was hilarious.

Then the very next morning, we took off to St. George. We wanted to watch my nieces play soccer and since we were there, I thought we could visit this family farm that was close. I had heard lots of good things about it! Unfortunately, they had a ton of rain and it was VERY muddy and the corn maze and horse rides were closed. I didn't really care about the maze but I wanted the girls to be able to ride the horses! O-well:( We did get to pet the animals though. This donkey was so funny because he was making very loud noises right when we got there. It totally scared Makenna and I had to go pet the donkey before she would even get close to it. She finally calmed down when she remembered that Shrek's sidekick was a donkey:) And did you know that donkeys are soft! I was very surprised:)

There were these HUGE turkeys!! I hope they aren't going to be this family's dinner soon:)

Rooster!!

This guy looked so mean! Trav was worried that he was going to spit on us:) He just kept staring us down. Finally, I picked up some corn that was on the ground and decided to see if he was hungry. He took it but the funny part was that he brushed the branches off with his nose and made completely sure he only ate the corn. He didn't want to eat the yucky stuff:) It was so hilarious!! Later, I saw a sign that said to not feed the animals....oops!!! Um....then feed them!! He was hungry:)

I got Makenna to feed him too.

They had cool slides and activities. My parents and I were playing tether ball and it made Aiden giggle so hard watching us! We must have been funny looking. It took me back to fifth grade:)

And unfortunately this is the last picture that I took because my camera died. I didn't realize that it was low:( I wanted to take pictures of my beautiful nieces! They did wonderfully in their soccer games though!! And we all crashed when we got home! Good weekend:)

Six month stats

Little man turned six months old on the 14th and I really can't believe it's been half a year since I brought him into this world. I am so thankful to have this little guy in our family! He is such a happy baby and smiles every time you look at him. He is such a joy and makes everyone around him smile as well!

He just had his appointment yesterday and here are his stats......18 pounds 14 ounces (70%) and 28 inches long (91%). His doc pointed out to me that his tooth was about to come through and indeed it did today!! He still isn't a fan of tummy time but he is getting better. Aiden does push ups and pushes with his feet so his butt comes off of the ground. He also twirls all around in circles. I found him with his lower half of his body under the ottoman somehow! :)

He has also started eating food in the last month. He truly is a boy!! He LOVES to eat!! And I mean loves. He stares at everything we eat and devours all that I give him. He has tried all the cereals, green beans (not a fan at first but getting better) and now sweet potatoes. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE his chunky legs and cheeks and can't keep myself from loving on him all the time!! Love you so much Aiden!!

Ballet and tap

Jordyn is finally old enough to take the ballet and tap class. Before I had to go into gymnastics with her while Makenna was in dance but now I can sit and watch both of them. I love it! Jordyn is so happy too because she has wanted to go into dance so badly for the last few weeks. It's so fun to see the happiness on their faces. Makenna is such a good big sis and helped guide Jordyn through the class. Jordyn did so well and did all the stuff because her sis was there. It's a 3-5 year old class so thankfully Makenna will be able to get Jordyn used to it before she can't be in there anymore. It truly is so adorable to watch my chubby legged J skip across the floor in her leotard!! Serious cuteness!!

I hate that this pic didn't come out very well because I love the look on Jordyn's face!!

Trying to do the splits:)

Free dance to Mama Mia:) Love it!!

Feeding baby

I found Jordyn "feeding" her baby this morning while she was watching Princess and the Frog. I wonder where she got that from:)

I remember another little girl that did the same thing when Jordyn was a newborn!

Visiting Grandma Great

The girls still talk a lot about my Grandma. Makenna will come to me and tell me out of the blue that she misses Grandma Great. And Jordyn prays for her every night. She says, "Please bless Grandma Grape." It's so adorable. We hadn't gone to visit her in awhile so we decided to go over a few weeks ago.
They got it all engraved. It's weird to see it on there. It was blank for soooo many years!!

Makenna of course drew her a picture.

We miss her so much!! It's going to be weird without her this Halloween. We always went over to her house to visit her on that night and she always made homemade donuts. Love you Grandma!!
