Pretty dresses

We put their pretty Easter dresses on them this week since General Conference is next week. They are so beautiful and I only had to buy one of them (and that was for Makenna's birthday). The one Jordyn has on was Makenna's dress when she was two!!!
I asked Trav to take some pics while I was finishing getting dressed and he put them in front of all the toys!!!

And I wanted ones of them separately as well so I tried to take a few before church. They didn't turn out as well as I wanted but maybe I will take some more the week after Easter.
She looks like she wants to have her picture taken, doesn't she??? Oh, and the blue necklace was Makenna's touch. She thought she needed one:) She is playing with this washer/dryer/ironing board for her house and kept saying she was cleaning!! So dang cute!!

Makenna has become my good picture taker. It makes me hopeful that the crying, not wanting to take pics stage only lasts a couple of years:)

I'm not going to smile Mom!! And her hair looks really weird in this one:)

Are we done yet?

I have to sit and pose now too???? Geez Mom!!!

I told her to say cheese!!

Kind of a fake smile!

Better!!

Love my beautiful princesses!!

Baby shower

I kind of had two baby showers. My mother in law was having surgery a couple days before my good friend Debbie was throwing me one so I decided to have a family shower first. My mom and sister, mom in law, and both sister in laws plus niece came! We all went to Cafe Rio!! And for some reason I didn't take very many pics and the ones I did take didn't turn out very well. This is my sister's son Izaak and I have no idea why there is so much glare:)

Then a few weeks ago, Debbie threw me a shower for my ward friends. She is so creative and crafty. I'm very jealous of what she comes up with. Look at this adorable spread. She had an ice cream bar and cupcakes. Yummy!!

Me and Debbie

Me and Yvonne. She is due four days before me. Surprisingly, I didn't take very many pics either! I have been so bad:)

Thanks Debbie for being such a great friend!

The rest of Makenna's birthday

After we had fun bowling, we grabbed some pizza and headed back to our house for dinner and cake. These are Makenna's balloons that she picked out. She has a big range of loves:) There is an Ariel balloon and a three princess balloon and a big butterfly!!

Makenna was with us when we got Jordyn's birthday cake back in September and she saw this Bolt cake in the book. She has wanted one ever since!! I have no idea how many times she asked me if she was going to get a Bolt cake!!

The big #5!!!

What a cute look:) Getting sung to.

Blowing out the candle.

Of course Jordyn had to blow it out too!!! Well, her version of blowing:)

Present time!! Princess and the Frog figurines from Grandma and Papa.

And cute clothes as well. Papa has great taste in picking out clothes. He's always been good at shopping!!

They both love those musical cards;)

A minivan for the house she got for Christmas.

Even Jordyn got some new shoes so she didn't feel left out:)

New basket and streamers for her bike!

And the gift that she has wanted since Christmas.......

A white Princess dress!! Good thing her birthday is around Easter. This is actually called a Cinderella dress:)

Happy 5th birthday big girl!! We love you so much!!!

Makenna's well check

I took Makenna for her five year well check and she's as healthy as a horse:) She is 46 pounds which is in the 80th percentile. And she is 47 inches tall which is in the 96th percentile!!! I always knew she was tall but goodness!! Dr. Lepore said she was as tall as a 6 1/2 year old!! But is very proportionate with her weight! So she is doing awesome. She was making the doctor laugh with all the stuff she was telling him. Plus, she made him examine her baby. He asked her if she had paid a copay for her and she just looked at him weird and said he was silly. It was too funny. Unfortunately she had to have four shots to get ready for Kindergarten. I thought she was a big girl and would do fine but I was oh so wrong!! She kept saying she doesn't want shots. She doesn't want shots!!! So I sat her on my lap and tried to talk to her before the nurse came in. I just said it would feel like a pinch really quick and then it would be done and I playfully pinched at her arm to make her laugh. She seemed ok until the nurse came in to do it. She started freaking out and was about to bail out of the room!!! It needed to be done on her legs so I laid her down on the table and she was not cooperating at all. This was not fun being a huge prego trying to hold down my big five year old:) I told her to just hold me but it turned out to be me tucking her arms in and holding her down! I just whispered in her ear as her tears poured onto my cheeks. It breaks my heart when I have to do this with any of my kids (even if they are big:) But Makenna is now ready for Kindergarten and just got a dose of Tylenol and whatever she wants for lunch:)

On your mark, get set, three weeks to go!!!!

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and they scheduled my induction!! It pays to bring your OB goodies:) If he is still big on ultrasound at my 37 week appointment, then I will have an amnio at 8:00 in the morning of the 13th and then go in to have him at 9:00 that night if everything is all good!!! So excited! I've never gone in at night before. Both my girls were born between 4 and 4:30 in the afternoon so this will be a different experience. But the more I think about it, the more I like it! I can put my girls to bed before I even have to leave, my Dad can spend the night here and then they will have a brother when they wake up and they can come see us in the morning:) I am excited to finish getting everything ready for him to come....including deciding for sure on a name!!! Boys names are hard:-)

Birthday Bowling!!

I have always been a fan of smaller, more intimate birthday celebrations with just family. I can concentrate on making sure my kids are having fun versus whoever I invited:) I usually do a big party on their first birthdays and then do activities that I know are my kids favorite for the years after. This year, my mom and I took Makenna and Jordyn to see Princess and the Frog at the movie theater the day before her birthday. She was so excited and since it is at the dollar theater, I didn't feel bad about taking my sometimes noisy two year old as well:) Then on her day, we took her bowling. This is her absolute favorite!! She was literally jumping up and down. Grandma and Papa and Uncle Joe were able to come as well. We missed Grandma M. but hope she is feeling better!!
Jordyn was old enough to bowl this time as well. The two sisters had a great time together!!

Waiting for that ball!!!

Action shot!
It's my turn....no, it's my turn!!!
That's some good form:)

Daddy played as well.....Mommy already hurts enough so I skipped out on this time:)

Doing a happy dance!

Having a great time!!

Jordyn playing with her hair and knotting it up while she watches:)

Throw that ball!!

Happy Birthday girl!!

She had fun with the air blowing:)

The final scores!!! Jordyn did so good!! I think Papa needed bumpers too! :) JK!

More to come for the rest of her birthday:)
