I'm published!!!

I finally turned my blog into a book!! I was wondering how good it was going to look with how much work I put into it but I love it!!! I think it turned out great! I'm not a big scrapbooker and I'm thinking this may be what I use to make my baby books. That way I don't have to worry about glue coming off and you have to print out digital scrapbooking anyway. If I was more creative, I would scrapbook normally but for me, this will work better. I'm so excited! Here are some pics of my new book!
The cover. I ended up making it a hard back with a cover on it. I love it. I even have my pic on the flap for being the author. So fun!

The back

You can put pics in different ways to make it fit on the pages well.

I had a few extra pages so I added a couple of pages that showed the growth of my girls throughout the year. I wish I had made some things bigger but you never know how it's going to look. Now I know for next time;)

And you can make pics full size.

I just love how it turned out. This is the end of my book.
I started my blog at the end of 2007 and so I made it for that and the whole year of 2008 and I'm going to make them for every year. It is a wonderful way to journal with pics!!

It wasn't too bad Carol. It cost like $65 with shipping. And that was with a 200 page hardback. It's cheaper for less pages or softback. When I do the books for the girls, it's going to be like half that because they won't be so long. It would definitely cost that much to print out all the pics that I have in there anyway and it's so nice to have in a book.
And Sarah, I would definitely pay just a little more to make it hardback. It just makes it real nice;)

You did a great job!! Congratulations. It really is beautiful--I may have be get me a 'signed copy' to add to my library and then start working on one for all my grandkids!! Whew! That will be a project and a 1/2, but thanks for sharing! Loved it!!

That is so nice! What company did you use? I have started making picture books for my kids scrapbooks, but I am still trying to do my own scrapbooking for their first year. HOwever, I only have Luke's done and Katelyn's halfway done so maybe I should just resort to these books.

Your book looks awesome!!! I have a few questions too (if that’s okay). Did you use “blurb” and do they limit you to one posting per page? It looks fabulous – I’m excited about making one for myself now!!!

Sorry guys...I didn't see that I had more comments;) Yes, I used blurb and you can do whatever you want with it. I put two or three posts to a page. It just all depended on how it lined up. Like if I had a couple of small posts that I could put together, you know. So some of my small posts still got their own page since they wouldn't fit on another one but it still works. You can also add pages and just add pics or more text if you want. I was a few pages under 200 so I added a couple of pages of pics to it. You might as well use up all of your pages. Let me know if you have any more questions!
