Our 4th of July

Makenna loves fireworks!!! She was asking about them all day and I kept telling her that we would go have fun after her nap. Later on, Travis asked her if she wanted to go have fun and she said, "Not yet daddy. I have to go take a nap first and then we can go!!" She had a wonderful nap and then we were off to Grandma and Papa's!! We had burgers and my dad's potato salad which is awesome!!! We also watched the nascar race and just chilled out. My brother and my sister were out of town so my parents were babysitting their dogs. There was a total of seven dogs!! We had a rottweiler, two pit bulls, dalmatian, basset hound, a shih tzu and our cocker spaniel!! It was pretty crazy but they had fun playing.

After dinner, we went outside to do some sparklers. Makenna did one and that kind of burned her finger (she had it too close to the flame) and wouldn't do anymore!!! But she took one that wasn't lit and kept waving it around saying, "bippity boppity boo!!" Too cute. Jordyn was having a good time just watching;)

We went out front to watch all the neighbors light fireworks when it got dark. There were so many that did illegal fireworks that we could just sit in the yard and watch. After a little while, J.J. was getting tired so we went home and while I put Jordyn to bed, Travis stayed outside with Makenna watching the rest of the fireworks. She didn't get to bed until 10:00!!! We had a lot of fun and Makenna keeps asking for more fireworks!! Not until next year babe!!
