When I was pregnant with Jordyn, I would look on the babycenter boards where there were other women that were due in the same month as I was. One day, someone posted a story about a family who had a 6 month old boy who was shaken by his daycare provider. He was unconscious for three months but is thankfully getting better. There were a few times where I would sit at the computer bawling while I read her blog. I'm sure it wasn't smart to read while pregnant but I just had to know how this sweet little baby was doing. I looked at her blog tonight and while he is doing better, at a year old, he still can't even hold up his head or eat. I found myself tearing up again and wondering where this world is going to. There are so many horrible stories about people doing things to their kids and it makes no sense. Just walk away!! Put them down!! My mother in law and I were talking about something similar and she said that when Travis' niece was a baby (she's almost 17 now), he stood over her and said, "how do people hurt little babies?" I concur. How do people hurt these precious, little souls that are so innocent? I just don't understand.....

Yes, I agree. How could someone hurt an innocent little baby or anyone for that matter? I have competely stopped reading CNN and other news stories that contain that garbage. It was really starting to bother me. That is really sad about that baby. What happened to the day care provider?

You can seriously see a story like this almost every day in the news. The latest one that pissed me off was this guy who tossed a 2 year old off a freeway overpass and he got hit by a couple cars. No wait, the latest was this lady who put her 2 week old babies in the tub and just watched them struggle. This is why we have the death penalty. Horrible horrible people who even after they do these things to innocent babies try to make us feel sorry for THEM!

I agree, what is the point of even reporting on that? Yes it is sad and I empathize when someone loses a loved one in such a horrific manner, why does it need to be on every news channel? Enough already, that stuff seriously is disturbing.
Yeah, I heard about the freeway one but hadn't heard about the bath one. I really hope these people are out of their minds when they do these things. The worst one was the idiot that threw four of his babies over the bridge. I can't stand it. Travis tells me these stories every day. I totally agree with you James. This is why we have the death penalty. The last I heard with this case is the day care person still hadn't been brought to trial. I'm not sure exactly what has happened but people were trying to blame the mother. Stupid people!!
