First off, I really like our pediatrician! Makenna was fussing about going this morning because she was remembering the broken leg nurse and I told her that he is the nicest guy and he won't be mean at all. As I was saying this, I realized that I would not have been able to say that about our last pediatrician and be truly honest. So sad but happy that we are with the one we are now. And I was completely right. Makenna started freaking out and he started joking with her the whole time and made her laugh and before we knew it, he was done. It was great. On a side note, he had a doctor in training working with him and he was so cute it was ridiculous. Oh, and he was very nice too. Usually I don't like it when there are extras in the room but for some reason, I didn't mind;-} Seriously, he looked like some actor on tv or something. Even my mom said the same thing afterwards. It was too funny. I would definitely go to him if he is a general practice doctor. I need one of those anyway;) Well, where was I??? Oh yes, their check ups;-) They are both super healthy with no problems. Jordyn is 25 pounds 6 ounces and 31 1/2 inches and is in the 70 percentile. Her head was in the 90th percentile.....her head has been big since she was in utero;) Makenna was 39 pounds and 42 1/2 inches long and is in the 80 percentile. She is tall but the cute doc said she was proportionate to her weight. I was worried about that because I think she is getting too skinny so that was good to hear. Jordyn pretty much screamed the whole time and she is super strong. I always tell Travis that when I'm changing her, trying to give her medicine or whatnot and he just tells me....she's a baby, you are stronger than her!! Well, the doc had to have me help because he couldn't keep her head still!!! She only needed her Hep A shot and I guess Makenna never had her second one either so she got a poke too even though we kept telling her only Jordyn had to have one. She still was good though and I hope she won't be so scared the next time. Or at least act like she's scared;) I also realized that we haven't had to make a sick visit since all those times in December. Yay!!! Hopefully, (knock on wood) we stay healthy!
Oh, and yesterday at church, the primary sang 'Follow the Prophet' in Sacrament. It was the first time that Makenna could go up and sing. We told her to go up but she kept looking back like 'what???' She finally made it up there and just had her hands up to her face and then ever so slowly she started to sink down until she was behind the pulpit. The stake president and counselor were there and right behind her and they were just laughing. As soon as it was over, Makenna resurfaces and comes back down. I couldn't stop laughing. Pres. Shields commented on it too. He said she did what we all want to do sometimes and hide behind the pulpit. It was so funny.

I hate April Fools day!
There are definitely drawbacks to being a teacher. A couple of Travis' kids from FOUR years ago are still bugging us. We got toilet papered yet again for the fourth year in a row!!! They always do it on the weekend around April Fools day. It was funny the first time but every year since then has just been annoying. Travis even left that school and they are juniors now but they keep coming back! We were hoping that with our move that they wouldn't be able to find us but that didn't stop them either. It is one thing to just clean up toilet paper but they always make an atrocious mess! They always use that spray stuff and they made a mess all over our garage doors and all over my rose bushes. Ugh!! Fortunately, we caught them in the act this time!! They usually do it in the middle of the night but they decided to come about midnight. It was a good thing I was relaxing in the loft with a book and looked out when I heard some noises. I didn't look fast enough because they had already done the toilet papering and forked our lawn. Travis and I were quite a sight cleaning up our yard at midnight in our jammies. I was so mad. I went back to my book (mad because I now had to re-relax before I could go to sleep) and all of a sudden we both heard a THUNK!!! The dummies came back to finish the job (they had seen me peek out of the window before and ran off). I can't believe they weren't done because they had done a ton before. They wanted to also put cookies all over our windows and door. The thunk was one of the cookies falling. Travis ran out and caught them and hopefully this will be the last year that we have to deal with it!! Seriously!! Get a life or a new teacher to bug! He hasn't been their teacher for three years!!! We still have some toilet paper in our tree because it's so tall and we can't reach it. O-well......such is the life of living with a teacher;-} At least we weren't completely embarrassed this year and found it before our whole neighborhood had a chance to see it first;)

Birthday with Grandma and Grandpa
We got to celebrate at Grandma and Grandpa's (Trav's parents) on Saturday night after the museum and naps. We had some yummy KFC and all of the cousins came over to play. It was fun!
All Makenna kept saying that she wanted a purple cake for her birthday. I got it made on Saturday morning and she had to help and lick the batter;)
Birthday girl!
Loving the outside.

Birthday fun at my parents
The day before Makenna's birthday, we had dinner at Grandma and Papa's. They always make what you want for dinner on the Sunday by your birthday. We had some yummy steak and the cousins played. It was so pretty outside. They loved it. I'm glad her birthday was last week instead of this week with all the yucky winds;)
Her pretty princess castle cake that Aunt Sara made for her.
The kiddos on their bikes;) Travis in his suit in the background....he had a concert that night;-}

Izaak Jake
We went to see my newest nephew today. Makenna was so excited. She kept asking me if she could hold him every five seconds and then was totally upset when we had to leave.
Look at all that dark hair;)
I love how sweet J.J. was when she was touching his head! (Makenna in the background itching to get her hands on him)
She did a great job and didn't want to give him up.

I have a new nephew!!
I told my sister on Sunday that the only day she can't go into labor was Tuesdays. Well, she didn't listen because she had her baby today. Izaak Jake weighed in at 7 lbs. 2 oz. and 19 inches long. I can't wait to see him but it will have to wait until tomorrow since I have to go to rush off to work. Blah! Anyway, I had her two boys since 6:00 this morning and we have been playing all day long.
It was like having two sets of twins because they are around the same ages. (These next two aren't going to be very close in age at all since she's already had her third and I'm not even ready to be pregnant;)
I picked up a four pack of easy mac at the store on Friday. I never get those but they came in handy today;)
Please excuse the fro....like I said, I had the boys since six so they are all lucky they are dressed;)
The boys loved the little strollers....and Kenna put one of her tiaras on Gunnar;) Hehe! Shhhh.....don't tell my sister on me!!!
And yes, Mason doesn't have any pants on but don't judge me! ;-} He had already peed through two pairs of pants so I just left them off for awhile. That boys' kidneys work really well!!
It finally got warm enough to go play outside. They had a blast! And now is the blissful sound of naps!!! I will post pics of the baby tomorrow when I get to meet him.

1st Day!!!
Jordyn turned 18 months on the 18th so today was her first official day of Nursery. She did pretty good. I had taken her in a couple of times before today so that she could play and get used to it but I don't think she liked that I left this time. J.J. is a very shy girl around people she doesn't know so I guess she eventually laid on the floor and hid her head on a duck and wouldn't move;) Trav went in and got her. I saw her in the hall with a big lip sticking out;) I took her back in just in time for snacks and food always helps. Once they started coloring, I decided to leave again. She looked right at me as I left and I expected her to be upset. Nope! She just looked back down and kept on coloring. Thank goodness for crayons! I guess she eventually laid back down again but she did really good for her first time!!
My big girl!!
Her pretty coloring page;)
I did all right too! I felt like I was missing something though;)

Natural History Museum
I still have so much to blog about with Makenna's birthday. We had so much fun the entire weekend and these are in no way in order but just how I'm getting to them;) She wasn't sure about the museum, especially at first. She wanted to go but then didn't want to at the same time. She wanted to see the dinosaurs (she even picked out a toy dinosaur at the dentist's toy box two days before) but scared to see them too.
She started off very wary. This pic shows that and she is holding her dinosaur.
But then she saw the huge polar bears and loosened up quick....go figure;)
This tank was so cool with little sharks and sting rays.
I thought this was the coolest fish. It's the orange looking rock. I had to read what was in the tank because it didn't look like anything was in it but once I looked, I saw the eyes and mouth....so cool.
This girl loves snakes....so silly. I was watching Harry Potter one day (the second one with the snake) and now she keeps asking me to watch the Harry Potter with the snake! And it's kinda scary but she likes it;)
Oh no....what's this look for........

Makenna's bed;)
We hit a little snag in making sure Makenna had her new bed on her birthday. We picked it up on Saturday but didn't look at it until Sunday night. Travis realized we didn't have the side boards which is a huge problem. I was upset because we wanted to surprise her ON her birthday. I was hoping that they just didn't give us the second box and called as soon as they opened. And thankfully, that is what happened!! I picked it up on the way home from pedicures and we were all set!
We had her headboard and foot board sitting right in the living room covered by the blanket all weekend. Makenna kept sneaking peaks but she still didn't figure out what it was;) Jordyn liked using one of the boxes as her little chair.
Makenna's last night in her little toddler bed. Her feet go all the way to the end!
And now she looks so small in her big girl bed! She was so excited and moving all around her bed that all the pics I have are fuzzy;)
I took the girls for a bike ride while Travis put it together. Then we told her we had a surprise for her......
She kept saying that she was so proud of us! Silly girl!
