I found Jordyn "feeding" her baby this morning while she was watching Princess and the Frog. I wonder where she got that from:)
I remember another little girl that did the same thing when Jordyn was a newborn!

Shhhh.....sweet baby!
I sing to my little ones every time I put them to bed. It teaches them the words of songs I love from an early age and shows them how much I love them. I guess it also teaches them how to be a mommy as well. I saw Jordyn singing 'I Am A Child of God' to her baby yesterday. It was so sweet and tender.
She then laid her down and told her baby, "Sleep good sweetheart. See you when you wake up!" Lovin it!! :)
Makenna did and still does this as well and she even turns her humidifier and night light on for her babies and tells us we are being too loud! Her baby is sleeping...don't you know???

She's hungry!
Me: What are you doing???
Kenna: Feeding my baby!
Me: Why are you doing it like that?
Kenna: She's hungry and needs to eat from my booboo!
Me: Where did you see that from? (she did that a long time ago when I nursed Jordyn but hasn't since).
Kenna: Izaak was eating from Sara's booboo because he was hungry!
Me: Ahhhhh......(Sara is my sis and Izaak is six months old and she was nursing him Sunday).

Poor baby!
And yes, she is still a baby. She's my baby girl;) Instead of going on a movie date on our anniversary, we got to spend two hours at the pediatricians! You got to be jealous of that fun;) Our sweet girl started having fevers the night before. I was keeping it under control with some Motrin but it stayed at 103 a lot. Well, right before we were about to leave, Makenna woke up from her nap so we waited so we could give her some more Motrin and she was on fire!! She also looked so pathetic. It was so sad. We took her temp and it said 104.9!!! And usually the ear ones are less than the rectal temps that are more accurate so that scared me!! I called the docs and asked them what I should do and they told me to come right in. That worried me even more since it's usually pretty hard to get in even when you call first thing in the morning. Of course her fever broke right when we got there and it made it hard to really see that she was sick but I just kept thinking of how she looked just an hour before. He said there was some fluid in her ears but didn't think that would warrant such a high temp. Makenna then got to pee in a cup for the first time but that came back fine so she didn't have a urinary tract infection. He was a little stumped but gave us some antibiotics after an extra test showed that she had enough gunk in her ears. So, hopefully this will get her to feeling better. She feels fine in between fevers but she just crashes when it starts spiking again. She started feeling really yucky again last night! I just wish the doc could have seen that. O-well. Today has just been a lounging day filled with movies and gatorade and hopefully she will feel better soon. And hopefully Jordyn and I won't be next!!
And I just had to add this cute pic of Jordyn changing her baby's diaper;-)

Izaak Jake
We went to see my newest nephew today. Makenna was so excited. She kept asking me if she could hold him every five seconds and then was totally upset when we had to leave.
Look at all that dark hair;)
I love how sweet J.J. was when she was touching his head! (Makenna in the background itching to get her hands on him)
She did a great job and didn't want to give him up.

Putting baby to bed
I was getting a little mad at Makenna because we were supposed to be winding down and getting ready for bed and I thought she was fooling around in her room. I stormed in there to check on her and this is what I found.....
I had to run and get my camera and I got there in enough time for the last verse. My sweet Makenna. She made me eat crow;)

So Precious
It's true when they say our children mimic us.
I love that she uses my neck pillow as her boppy for her baby and that she has to cover up with a blanket. Absolutely too sweet for words.
P.S. We have been telling her that her shows are on when the big hand on the clock is on the '6' since Caillou is on at 12:30 and Arthur is at 4:30. So she watches the clock alot and lets us know when they are on;)

Ahhhh!!
I still rock Makenna and sing her a couple of songs before she goes to bed, either for her nap or night time. I just have always done it. Today, my little mother in training did the same for her baby. She told me that she had to put her baby to sleep and it HAD to be upstairs. I followed her up there and peeked on her to see what she was doing. She rocked her baby and sang her all three versus of "I Am a Child of God". Then she put her in her bed and covered her up and said, "sleep good sweetheart". It was so precious. She saw me and then told me to be quiet or I will wake the baby up;)
And I couldn't believe my eyes but Jordyn got into a sitting position from her knees. She has been doing push ups and trying to get up on her knees but not quite getting it yet. So, it totally shocked me when she all of a sudden sat right up from being on all fours!! She was so proud of herself and then proceeded to fall backwards....HARD!! She'll get it though!

After baby
I saw this on babycenter and thought it was cute. It's 15 things that change after you have a baby.
1. "You discover how much there is to say about one tooth."
2. "You finally realize that true joy doesn't come from material wealth."
3. "You now know where the sun comes from."
4. "You'd rather buy a plastic tricycle than those shoes that you've been dying to have."
5. "You realize that although sticky, lollipops have magical powers."
6. "You don't mind going to bed at 9 p.m. on Friday night."
7. "Silence? What's that?"
8. "You realize that the 15 pounds you can't seem to get rid of are totally worth having."
9. "You discover an inner strength you never thought you had."
10. "You no longer rely on a clock — your baby now sets your schedule."
11. "You give parents with a screaming child an 'I-know-the-feeling' look instead of a 'Can't-they-shut-him-up?' one."
12. "Your dog — who used to be your 'baby' — becomes just a dog."
13. "You take the time for one more hug and kiss even if it means you'll be late."
14. "You learn that taking a shower is a luxury."
15. "You realize that you can love a complete stranger."
