Christmas Day
Warning....there are a ton of pics!Ü It's Christmas!! We had such a good Christmas this year. Makenna was just at such a fun age and to see her face light up made our day.
This was our loot minus the bean bag chairs that Santa forgot to put out at first;)
The yummy cookies and milk that Santa loved. (This was our first year putting cookies out.....too fun)
Jordyn wasn't sure what to do!

Makenna in the Mickey mouse bean bag chair. These are perfect to sit up in the loft to watch movies with. Trav and I have our recliners and now they have their own chairs to sit on.

Jordyn loved her new doggie to pull around!

We didn't have too many pictures of our Christmas at home because we mainly videoed it. After Makenna opened her presents at our house, she exclaimed. "I didn't get my Buzz!!" Santa brought her a Woody but she didn't have a Buzz;) After we opened our presents, we set off to Grandma and Papa's house. We had yummy pancakes and bacon for breakfast before we opened presents!!

Jordyn opening a fun bath toy.

I had to add this pic because it shows my parents cool village in the background. They have a Home Depot and Walmart. It's too cool.

The coolest shoes!!

The prettiest eyes!!

Makenna is tilting her head to see what she got.

This is her reaction after she figured out what it was;)

The poor doggies out in the rain waiting for somebody to let them in!

My bro's new beautiful dog, Bella!

Jordyn playing with Makenna's Buzz;)

Jordyn playing with Makenna's Woody;) It has been so cute. They have both wanted to play with each other's things. And so far, they have been really good at sharing!! I hope it stays that way.

And this was my Christmas!!!! My hubby truly spoiled me this year. I got a lovely new camera that I'm so excited to get better pics with and a plane ticket to TEXAS to see my bestest friend Sarah!!!! I am so excited!!! I've got my southern accent all good and ready!! Texas, here I come!!

Christmas Eve
We always spend our Christmas Eve with Travis' family. We have a nice dinner and then open some presents. It was a full house this year because Trav's sister's family was here instead of in Virginia. The cousins had fun playing (most of the time) and it was a nice night with family.

Jordyn was putting her new dress on her head and made her hair look like she has a comb over;)

Our new printer/scanner!! Yay!

A rare pic of us!!
Makenna loved her books!

Jordyn was being a serious daddy's girl that night.

Lady.....enough saidÜ

Travis decided to put J.J. in a stocking....so cute;)

Merry Christmas
I have been singing the girls Christmas songs instead of their usual ones during December and Makenna loves it. I wanted to share her beautiful singing. Unfortunately, she wouldn't sing unless I sang. Just try to tune out the bad singing mommy and enjoy the preciousness of my sweet girl! Merry Christmas! Ü

15 month stats
We had Jordyn's check up today. I wasn't thrilled about going to the doctor's again today (I have been there every week this month) but at least it wasn't for a sick visit. Unfortunately, my poor baby had to get shots too. She was not very happy. Here is where she is at today;
Weight: 22 lbs. 10 oz. (46%)
Height: 31 1/2 inches (82%)
So, she has pretty much switched stat percentages with her baby ones. She used to be in the high 90's for weight and low 30's for height. So, she must have had a good growth spurt here recently. I'm still wondering if the nurse measured her right though. She was wiggling all over the place and according to the doctor, she is measuring the same as a 20 month old which I find hard to believe. I have to roll up all of her 18 month pants and she still drags the bottoms of them. So, she either has very short legs or the nurse was wrong. I think I'm going to try to measure her myself and see if I get a different measurement when she's not so upset.Ü She is saying the words, mama, dada, duck, cheese, baby and a lot of her own little language. She now points to whatever she wants and demands that she gets it. She loves to color on paper but will eat the crayon if I'm not watching. Climbing is one her favorite pastimes right now and can entertain herself by climbing onto something so that she can climb up on the couch. She then gets down and repeats. She loves her big sister and copies her all the time. She is such a doll, has the cutest personality and we love to hear her giggle.
Oh, and did you hear the Duggar's named their 18th kid Jordyn!! They even spelled it the same. O-well....we had it first;)

My tender hearted girlie;)
Travis and I decided to take the girls to see Santa at the mall. Jordyn has been sick for the last three weeks so this was the first chance we had to go. It's Monday morning so I'm thinking that it shouldn't be too busy. Everyone should still be at work, right? Um, not!! First of all, as we were walking in, there were a bunch of pigeons walking around and Makenna was worried that they weren't getting out of the way of the cars. Travis said they were walking fast so they would get out of the way. We get into the mall and there is a line that is three deep. I go....ok.....it will take a little while and so we walk to get to the end of the line. We walked and walked and soon realized that the line was not only three deep but wrapped around to the back of Santa. We looked at each other and said..."heck no!!!" So meeting Santa consisted of us watching him from the side for a couple of minutes and saying, "Phew...it's a good thing we got your letter in to him early! Let's go look at the doggies in the pet store!" It worked and as we were walking back to our car, one of the little pigeons didn't make it across the road and was splattered all over the street. Makenna freaked out and started crying and saying, "He died!!" over and over. We kept trying to tell her that he was in heaven now and that he wasn't hurt anymore. But it didn't help. She just kept crying, "No, the cars aren't supposed to hit the birdies. He died! He died!!!" She had a full blown fit. As we drove away, she said we needed to go back to make sure he gets out of the street and flies away!! Tears were streaming down her face and all I could do was hold her hand. It hurt my heart to hear the hurt in her voice.....for a pigeon!! Finally, (since we were in the neighborhood of Winchells) we decided to get doughnuts and that helped her mood a little. We got lunch and had a doughnut for dessert and tried to keep birds out of the discussion;p

Beautiful Santa's Helpers;)
I just had to post pics of these beauties. This is what they wore to church today. They enjoyed listening to their daddy playing trumpet for prelude today. I don't know why it's such a no-no to play trumpet in the chapel. It's such a beautiful instrument and hellloooo.....what is Moroni holding? It's certainly not a clarinet;)
Oh, and I just had to add that my baby folded her arms for the prayer in church today! I never close my eyes so I can keep an eye on them and I saw her checking everyone out. Next thing I know, she just folds her arms. She did it like three times.....so stinking adorable;)

Bolt!!
We went to see the movie 'Bolt' a couple of weeks ago with Grandma and Papa!! I wanted to let Makenna have some time out by herself so her other Grandma watched J.J. for us!! It was so fun. The last time I took her to a movie was to see Horton on her birthday. So, the first thing she says when we walk in was, "Yay, I want to see Horton!!" It was so funny. Then when we got into the theatre, she said, "Wow, that's a BIG tv!" She is such a ham;) She absolutely loved it and was crying when we got home because she wanted to bring the movie home with us. She couldn't figure out why we couldn't. We had to explain to her all night that we would have to wait until they made it for little tv's like ours. I can't wait to give her Horton for Christmas;)
And I just had to add a funny comment from my kiddo. She was watching Shrek and all of a sudden she says, "He tooted in the bathtub!!! He needs to say excuse me!"

Papa Claus and more snow!
Makenna wrote her first letter to Santa this year. And by Santa, I mean Papa!! Ü I sent it to my parents house and they wrote her a letter back telling her to be a good girl and to listen to her parents. She still tells people exactly what it says in that letter but unfortunately it didn't work like I had hoped;)
