Wa Wa

That is how Jordyn says quack quack whenever she sees ducks. It is so cute. She just automatically says wa wa. I love it. We had some extra bread that wasn't very good so we decided to go feed the ducks at the Aliante park.
Don't look at Kenna's hair;) I didn't do it that day and tried to put it up in a ponytail so we could go out.

J.J. wanted to look at the camera this day and Makenna didn't, I guess;)

It was on a Saturday afternoon and the ducks were quite full already. None of them really ate any of the bread. O-well. It was so crazy there so we went to another park so they could play on the playground and Makenna did the monkey rings for the first time!!! She got all the way to the end minus one! She was so proud of herself and so ready to get back to gymnastics which starts again tomorrow!! Yay!! Hopefully she will have the nice teacher again instead of the crabby one. Stay tuned;)

Pedicures, lunch and great friends;)

I think Makenna's birthday (or rather weekend;) was a lot of fun. I think I will have to blog backwards and start off with today. Instead of a huge party, we opted for some one on one with the birthday girl again and do fun stuff just with her. It is so much fun and so much less stress for the parents. I think I will do a party again when she starts school. So, I will enjoy these times with her now. I love it as much as she does.
Today, I took her to get pedicures with Sarah and Bella. This just happened to be their last day before returning to Texas so they were in town!! It was great that we were able to be with them on her birthday. Bella and Makenna get along so well. I really wish she could play with her more. They were both crying that they wanted to go to the other one's house to play and that they didn't want to leave. It was so sweet.

Anyway, Makenna wasn't too hot on the pedicures at first. She was freaked out about sticking her feet in the water. She kept whining and whining. So, finally I told her to just sit on my lap and we wouldn't stick her feet in the water. She really wanted her toesies painted but didn't want to go through it. Silly girl. She is going to look back on this and laugh;)

Bella was a pro. She sat so well and soaked her feet.

Sarah getting her toes done;)

And Makenna finally getting hers done. The lady was clipping her toenails and she said, "oh, it's just like you do it mommy!"

She gave her a nice little massage. I think she felt silly that she had a fit;)

They are turning pink!!

Getting them dry and finally with a smile on her face!

Our cute curly girls. Sarah made that shirt for Makenna (and one for Jordyn too) and she loves it. She kept saying that she loves her new shirt. I think they are adorable!
Cute little toesies!

Yay for pedicures!

After our appointment, we got some lunch and headed over to Sunset park. They loved watching the ducks and playing on the slides.

I have a pic of this when they were both one.....ahh!

Sarah's mom joined us later with Aube and Bubba (Sarah's brother). They were so cute by the lake but made us all very nervous. They just kept getting way too close. It was a nice big drop.

Kenna and Aube with the fluffiest duck we ever saw;) He loved Aube. He hung out with them for awhile and we didn't even have any food for them.

Cute pic of Aube and Bella and fluffy duck.

Me and Sarah;)

Kenna and Bella....Bella wouldn't look at me;)
We had a great time and I'm so glad that Makenna got to spend her birthday with Bella.
Oh, and she loved her bed. She kept saying thank you and that she was so proud of us. So cute! I will have to post the video tomorrow;)

Bowling and Park fun

So, I'm finally getting around to posting about our fun from the week before last. That Tuesday we had gotten the go ahead for resuming play after her broken leg so we had a blast. Makenna had been begging to go bowling for awhile so I figured that would be a good treat after going through that doctor's appointment. We brought grandma along with us and we had a great time.

Miss J.J. was just chillin' in the stroller eating snacks the whole time (well until the very end;)

Our scores.....Makenna's first one was a 78 so her combined score for both games was 137! Not bad for an almost four year old;)

Makenna wasn't too happy that we had to leave. I think she would have stayed for a very long time bowling her heart out;)

Then, on Thursday, it was so beautiful outside that we took a trip to the park. I don't remember when we went to the park last but it was a long time. This time, Jordyn was old enough to have fun too.
Jordyn loved going back and forth over this bridge.
I'm not good at play dates to the park. I can't just sit and talk. I have to follow my kids around because they make me nervous. Makenna kept hanging out of this open spot on the slide that had a very big drop. I didn't like it!!
J.J. loved going down the slide.
And she was very proud of herself;)

My pretty (and very happy) little girl;)

Utah Trip....day 1

Since we were already going to be in St. George, we took advantage and left early Friday morning so we could go up into Pine Valley to hike and have a picnic lunch. We met my parents up there and had some yummy chicken before we started hiking. We decided to take a different route to the lake and it ended up being the very long way there!!!! My dad turned back to get the truck while we kept hiking and we got to see a whole family of deer. If you look closely to the bottom pic above, there is a deer in the middle looking right at us!! We saw the baby first and then saw the whole family just hanging out. They didn't care that we were even watching them until we got a little too close (and Makenna got a little too loud;) and they hopped away like rabbits. It was so neat to have Makenna see that. When Papa picked us up, she kept saying that she wanted to go back and see HER deer!!

We also stopped off at my sister in law Julie's, to see the house that they are building, to visit for a few and so I could get my hair cut (thanks, Julie;) We left there, got some dinner and met all of Travis' family at this nice, new park. Makenna was still in her pants from hiking but we let her run through the water things they had and she had a blast. She was a little timid at first but there was no stopping her once she started. It was cute to watch. She also ran wild on all the playground equipment. She is definitely our little monkey. She loves the monkey bars and will just hang on them forever!!
Travis' parents rented a condo for the weekend (which was super nice...it was as big as our first house) and so we got settled in and then took Makenna to one of the many pools that they had. It was her first real time in a swimming pool and she loved it. She didn't want to get out but she was freezing since it was nighttime. I finally convinced her to get out by telling her we would come back the next day. It was a busy day but it was fun!!

Is it the weekend yet?

Not that mommys get a day off anyway, but still. Makenna was just crazy tonight. We had a great morning. We went to story time at the library (which she loves) and then to the park afterwards. My mom and my sis and her kids came with us so she got to play with her cousin. Then this other kid comes to play and just runs around everywhere. Makenna decides to run with him and just runs and runs and runs. They have a great time. And then a couple of my friends show up with their kids. That girl was going crazy, she was having so much fun. I was grinning knowing that she was going to have a wonderful nap!! Well, I was dreaming! She didn't sleep one minute. She just sat up in her room singing and yelling and thumping around. And since she didn't have a nap, she was a bear the rest of the evening. There was crying and whining heard all night long. I also think she is a little OCD which makes bedtime a little interesting some nights. We were finally putting her to bed and all is good when not one minute later, she is screaming her head off. I go in there to ask what her problem was and I had left J.J.'s toy in her room. She is so anal about where everything is and if it doesn't belong, she gets upset. I moved her lotion one time to a different shelf and she about flipped out. She has to have her water next to her bed and I mean right next to her bed. It has to be touching!!! Also, her blanket is a pooh blanket and the fuzzy part has to be laying on her (I understand that) but she also has to have pooh's feet up at her head. So, poor pooh has to lay upside down all night. And she is adamant about it. I have no idea why but again, she will flip out if it's not the right way. It gets really frustrating but I just try to go with it. Otherwise I end up with a screaming toddler. I can't complain too much because I'm a little anal myself. I have to have the kitchen table exactly even with the tile. I fuss with it all day long and it is never straight enough for me. And the chairs have to be even and straight. I know....weird and that is probably where Makenna gets it. It can just be a little tiring sometimes;)

Play, Play, Play..........Crash

We played hard today and we are all tired. But thankfully, Makenna crashed and is snoozing away as I type. I just wish I could get J.J. to sleep at the same time;) It has been so beautiful lately that we have hit the park twice this week. I figured we had to do as much outdoors as we could before it got way too hot which happens very quickly here. So if we weren't at doctor's appointments this week, we were at the park.

This is Jordyn's play time and it's how we usually start the day. Jordyn loves her exersaucer and will play in there happily while I workout. She just twirls all around and plays with all the toys or just watches me and laughs at me jumping around.

This is her favorite toy. She is constantly trying to get that in her mouth. She's teething so she is chewing on everything lately, including me;)

Makenna is at a hard age where she feels like she is too big for the 'baby' slides but she is too small for the bigger slides. So I usually get up there with her. For some reason, the person that designed these things, put big gaping holes with a big drop right next to the slides. She can get up there easy enough but I'm always worried that she will fall through these open sections when she's not paying attention, which is often;) I don't mind. I get to be a big kid and it gives me some extra exercise.

And this is when we have played too much when we crash in our high chair. I had just finished feeding her cereal and I was rinsing off her little bowl. I turned back around and found this. She is just so stinking cute!!!
