Who is this?

My Makenna is so funny. She makes a beautiful Sleeping Beauty, don't you think?

And I don't want to gross you out with a picture of my trash but I think this is so cute. Miss J.J. hates having her socks on her feet. And I mean hates it!! If I don't have shoes on her, she takes them off immedietly. I don't know how I'm going to keep this girl's feet warm this winter. This picture shows how much she hates her socks. I saw her throwing them away the other day....little stinker. She actually tries to throw lots of things away. Her baby, blanket, etc. I just hope I find everything before it really gets thrown away;)

Hanging with Daddy

Jordyn sat on the stairs, put her arm back and was just hanging out. It was so cute that I had to take a picture.

And of course when Daddy gets his trumpet out, Miss Kenna has to get hers out too. It's the law;) (Excuse the pull up.....she just got up from her nap)

I can't wait to hear them playing duets together;)

Love it!

I love it when Jordyn wraps her hand around my finger when I am singing her songs before bed.

I love that Makenna still wants to cuddle with me.

I love to watch my hubby play his trumpet in concerts.

Love it.

Good girl and a stinker (jk)

I got my sewing machine out yesterday (I know....yeah right). Seriously, I did!! And since I needed to concentrate, I asked Makenna to help keep J.J. occupied. She was so cute!! She laid out this blanket like a picnic, got her toys for her and plopped her down on it. I love watching them play together. Makenna is such a good big sis and has been a very good girl lately. She's been putting herself to bed as well. She has come up to me the last two days and said, "Put me to bed first (before J.J.) pleeeease!!!" And she has been so polite when asking for things. I just hope it lasts!! She is also my parrot. We were in the car when Jordyn started fussing and Kenna just blurts out, "That's fake!!!" We tell her that when she does this fake cry and it was so hilarious to hear it come out of her mouth. Also, after church, Trav and I saw this car parked in between two houses and I said, "what the snap?" She looked at me and said, "Mom, don't say a bad word....don't say snap and sh*#!!" Um...I didn't say the last word and we were driving home from church!!

And then there is Jordyn!!! She is just all over everything. I can't keep her off of or out of things. She likes to climb up on the dishwasher when I'm emptying it and that girl is attracted to those stairs!!!! I can't keep her off of them. We've had to put a bunch of pillows around it but she still tries to climb over them too!!

Now this is just a random pic (and kinda grose) but I thought it was funny. Jordyn spit up on the tile last week and somehow part of it is shaped like Mickey Mouse!! That girl stares at Mickey Mouse when the show comes on tv so maybe she is trying to tell me that she wants to go visit him;)

This is just a cute pic of her eating cheese for the first time;)

I love it when....

My babies hold my hand. I love stroking their soft skin and sharing that special moment with them. I love it when Kenna laces her fingers through mine and when Jordyn wraps her tiny hand around my finger. I want to enjoy these moments because I know they will disappear all too quickly. Time speeds by and before I know it, they will be teenagers;( My big girl Makenna already talks like she is an adult and we are always in awe at what she says. She is such a love bug, always giving hugs and kisses and telling us that she loves us soooooo much!! And Jordyn just changes before us everyday. She got another tooth today. It's her sixth one, fourth one on the bottom to the right. (She is now starting to really use me as a teething ring) She is also starting to kiss us. At first she would just lean her head forward so that we could kiss her head but she is now giving us actual (baby open mouth) kisses. She has also started waving on the 25th and cruising on the 27th. She just hangs onto the couch and goes!! The stairs are a huge attraction to her as well. We have to put pillows all around the bottom of it to keep her from going up. We've done this back and forth thing where I put her down, she goes straight for the stairs. I pick her back up and put her back down where she belongs and it starts all over again. It gets very tiring after about five times so we hope the pillows work for awhile. She will be walking before we know it!!! My nephew just turned one and it seems like it was yesterday when he was born and I know that I'm going to blink and Jordyn will be one. Hopefully recording these memories will help me not be so sad when the days, weeks, and months go by in a blur.

Why it's nice to be a shorty.....

5. You still fit in your infant car seat comfortably even though your weight kills your mommy's back.

4. Being able to wear dresses and skirts that you should have outgrown months ago.

3. You can crawl under chairs and straighten your arms out and still not hit the bottom of it!!

2. Having the cutest, little petite feet that go along with the adorable, chunky legs!!

1. Being able to stand up under the table and NOT bonk your head!!!

Don't look now...

But someone is sitting up!! I can't believe it.

This pic is a little dark but her smile was too cute not to post. And don't you just want to chew on those cute little feet?

Slow down time.....slow down!!!! Ü

Here we go

So, my friend Sarah, has finally convinced me to do a blog. I love to e-mail pics of my beautiful girls so I thought this would be an easier way for friends and family to see them and to keep in touch. Makenna also keeps saying things that crack us up and I needed somewhere to share them. She's my little parrot which isn't always the best thing but it makes me try to do better. We are currently trying to get her to stop saying 'punk'. I didn't realize how much both Travis and I said it. It doesn't seem like such a bad word but it just doesn't sound right when a little girl says it. She is also another little mommy to our baby Jordyn (J.J.) and always wants to do things for her. It's so funny because she hates that she can't feed her. Sometimes she tries to hold my boob and acts like she is the one that is feeding her. She also gets a little jealous that she can't have what J.J. has. I asked her what she wanted for lunch one day and she said, "some booboo". That is my two year old for you.
Jordyn has been sleeping seven hours straight this last week which is awesome for a two month old. Woo Hoo!!! It makes a big difference. I was way too cranky when she was only sleeping a couple of hours at a time. She was up again by the time I had fallen asleep. I just hope it stays like this. She went from sleeping five hours to six and now seven hours so we hope it just keeps getting better. Jordyn is such a sweet baby and smiles at us all the time. Especially for Travis. All he has to do is talk to her and she gets a big ol' grin on her face. I can't wait to see her little personality grow and develop.
We are already getting into the Christmas spirit. All of our decorations are up and I can't wait to do our advent calendar with Makenna. She is just at the right age where she will understand (well at least in a two year old sort of way). She got a little upset when I said it was Jesus' birthday because SHE wanted the presents. Hopefully she will start to get what the true meaning of Christmas is.
Well, that is my first post. I hope that you enjoy reading all about our craziness as much as we love living it.
