I had a couple people ask what I'm doing to lose the weight. All I am doing is trying to keep my daily calories at 1200 and I don't count my fruits and veggies. I don't eliminate anything. If I want chocolate or a burger, I eat it. I just have to add those calories into my daily count so I may not be able to have much else if it is a lot. I don't count fat grams (but I do try to pick stuff that is low) or calculate things. All I do is add! I know that if I tried to not eat certain stuff like breads and sugars that I wouldn't stay on it. I don't know why people take bread out of their diets anyway. It's good for you and my whole wheat bread is only 70 calories a slice. I can have a turkey sandwich with light mayonnaise and mustard for only 235 calories. Coke Zero is my friend. I love the new vanilla and cherry kinds and I try to drink tons of water. I have also been looking online for low calorie dinners. That is the issue that I have right now. I can have my lean cuisines for lunch but I have a hard time figuring out dinners that will be low for me but yummy for my family. I found this one recipe for Ham and Potato soup that I made last night that is only supposed to be 198 calories per serving. I'm sure that is for a small serving but I figured even if I had a big bowl and doubled it, it would still be low and it was soooo yummy! I also bike ride with my mom while pulling 55 pounds of kids or do my Tae Bo every morning and do hand weights two or three times a week. I also have a free day every Saturday. That's when I eat things like pancakes, maybe a Big Mac and M&M's. It keeps me good during the week. I can be good because I know I only have so many days before I can eat whatever again. I don't go too crazy but I do enjoy that day. Anyway, that's what I'm doing and I hope that it will keep working!!

Man, good for you. I am in a slump. My walking buddy has bailed and I am a chicken to go alone. I keep saying I am gonna bike ride but I never do. It does help to look at pics from just a few months ago and that makes me feel better. Let's keep each other motivated!
guess what? i started counting calories too. so far so good. after looking up different diet plans i figured this would work best for me. tonight we had pizza. yum. i made it on a whole wheat dough and topped it with veggies. so thanks for the suggestions. keep up the good work.
well you inspired me too. I have never counted calories, but I am going to try. Thanks for some meal ideas.
Thanks for the help in the food department, I really do feel like its making a difference!!
YAY for free day! LOL.
Let's all help each other!!! I've never counted calories either but it wasn't budging with just exercise alone so I decided to give it a try. We need to share recipes or things we find that are low cal!!
I've been counting calories for years. It really does work. I also drink a big glass of water before meals and that "fills" me up so I don't eat as much. There is a really good cook book I love to use it's called "The Best of Cooking Light". Your welcome to steal it for awhile if you want. The recipes are so delicious and low cals. Another thing you might like is a blog I love to read:
enlightenedcooking.blogspot.com
She also sells cookbooks. She takes recipes that are normally high in calories and alters them to still taste delicious and have low cals. Anyways.....thought I would pass it along.
Congrats on your milestones. That's awesome!
