Shed Part 2

First, who can resist this adorable face??? The kids loved "helping".
After we got our concrete foundation down, we built a wooden foundation as well and then started framing the walls.
 Another good helper:)

And another helper:) They all loved being outside with us even though it was hotter than the sun most of the time!!!

The walls are up!!! Well, three of the four are:)

To be continued.....

Community party-(June)

At the beginning of June, our housing development had a community party!! They had never had one so we didn't know what to expect!! It ended up being great!! They had Famous Daves catering it and had ponies to ride, a little petting zoo, a bouncy house and face painting!! The kids had a blast!!
Aiden wasn't too sure about the ponies:)
 Makenna loved her tinker bell:)

 Serious cute face!!
The girls LOVED the pony rides!!
Close up!
We got Jordyn to get her face painted too:)

Our shed....Part 1

We decided to build a shed in our backyard this summer!! My Dad built his and he and my Mom offered to come help so we decided to do it!! :) First step was to lay the foundation so off to Home Depot we went and got a bunch of concrete!! Then my parents came over and we set to work getting it done. This by far was the messiest part!
Aiden wasn't a fan of the wheel barrow:)
The area that we were putting it on was full of rocks and a fire pit. We had our porch swing over there as well so we had to haul a ton of rock from one end of the yard over to add to the other side with the kids swing set. That was a ton of work by itself. We wanted to move it over a bit too so we could put their play house next to it so we thought about getting rid off all that big rock. We didn't want them sliding into it and getting hurt. It was a ton more difficult than we thought though so we just made a little path where they would be sliding down with no rock! It works! I don't have a pic with the house next to it but it works really well! I wish we had done it awhile ago:)
Once most of the rocks were cleared, we made a frame for the cement to go into.
CEMENT!!
We even put all of the kids' hands in it even if you can't see it with the shed on it:) We got a picture of it so we will always be able to see it!

Trying to catch up....Aiden's 15 month appt and more!!

This is my sweet little man!! He is so stinking adorable and I love to cuddle him and kiss him!! He is absolutely hilarious too. Just the other night, I left his diaper off of him because he had a bit of a diaper rash and he proceded to go over to one of the 2X4's from the shed and peed on it!! He's so silly!!
He just had his 15 month check up the other day....(can't believe he's getting so old!!!) and he is 22.8lbs (27%) and 33 1/4 inches (I think...going off of memory:) which is in the 65%. He hasn't gained much weight (he used to be high percentage) but I think it's from all the running around he does. He doesn't sit still for very long. He is such a good boy and a very rambunction boy! Aiden is also very loving. He loves to give kisses and just learned yesterday to blow kisses. He loves to make indian sounds with his hand and to just make noise!! He is a big screamer....which is not so much fun at church! He still has to have his morning and afternoon naps and is a good eater...except for peanut butter sandwiches. He won't have anything to do with them unfortunately!! He adores his sisters and loves to play with them even when they don't want to play with him at the time:) He's a huge Mama's boy and I have a love/hate relationship with it. I mostly LOVE it but the times when he won't go to anyone else or screams for me until I hold him even though I'm trying to get stuff done is hard but for the most part he is a good boy and we love him so very much!!!
And these are the scrumptious toes I like to snack on from time to time:)
I also figured I needed to put some pics up of my beautiful girls!! I know this a pic of the back of their heads but it was a rare moment of playing nicely together so I had to document it:) They love each other very much and love to play with each other but having so much time together during the summer can have it's hard times too:)
Beautiful Jordyn!!! For some reason she loves to wear her jammies (even in the middle of the day) She will go change from her regular clothes into her jammies or just go around in her undies!! She is a silly little girl!! She also has the best imagination!!! She will play with her little figurines for the longest time!! I love to watch her make them go up and down stairs or listen to her while she has them talk to each other. It's awesome!!
Beautiful Kenna!! She just recently lost her two front teeth on the same day....7-8. Aiden fell on her which FINALLY popped out the first one (it really was hanging on by a thread) and then Trav just pulled the other one out as well!! She is adorable and I love the way she says certain words now! She is such a wonderful big sister and is such a big helper with her siblings!! She always makes sure Jordyn has what she needs and is like her second Mommy and she is definitely Aiden's second Mommy! She always loves to go get him out of his crib when he wakes up and loves to play with him and get him things!!
This is proof of my earlier claim that Aiden is being rambunctious!! He is a total climber now!! If it has stairs or some kind of stepper, he gets up it. He is even climbing up the slide!!! I couldn't believe it when I found him up at the top. That is very scary because he can just fall off the open side especially since he moves away from me when I go to get him down and comes very close to the edge. He gives me mini heart attacks ALL THE TIME!! He is such a boy!! I hope I survive his childhood:)

And this is a cute pic of Aiden seeing his sissies for the first time in the morning!! He was up early and since the girls have been getting up late, he was excited to see them finally get up. He had a huge smile on his face when he saw them!! I love that my kids are close and I hope they always will!! We love them so much!!

Our 4th!!

Our whole 4th of July weekend was pretty much working on the shed. We have been so thankful to my parents for helping us out and taking a ton of their time!! We are getting a ton done! We got all showered and headed over to Grandma and Papa's house for dinner and fireworks. They barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs and of course potato salad!! Yum!!
We also watched the Nathan's hot dog eating contest. The girls couldn't figure out why they were eating so much. They were pretty grossed out by it:)

Then we hung outside until it started getting darker.
The sparklers came out!!! My girls never wanted to hold a sparkler this early but that must be the difference between boys and girls!! Aiden couldn't get enough of them!! He kept staring at them and he would shake it up and down. It was adorable!!
Jordyn finally held her first sparkler as well!! She made me hold it with her for the first couple of times and then she got braver! :)
Makenna is the complete opposite of Jordyn. She loves fireworks!! She couldn't get enough of them. She kept pointing her sparkler in the air and calling herself Hermoine!! :)
Boys crouching down to light a firework!!
Had to have another one:)

Look Mom!!!! Wow!!!

Jordyn did really well for about half of the night until my parent's neighbors started shooting off very loud illegal ones right over our heads. The remnants of them kept falling on us. It was finally too much for her and she just cried to go inside. Sounds just like her mommy when I was young:) Good thing fireworks are just as beautiful from the wonderful safety of your house!
Couldn't even stay awake long enough to get home:) We had a wonderful 4th!!

Daisy!!!

Makenna had her pinning ceremony for Daisy girl scouts a couple of weeks ago. She was so excited and loves going. For some reason I keep forgetting about it every week but she reminds me every time....even if it's a couple hours before:) I'm glad she gets to do things with her school friends in the summer!
