CHICK munk!!

At least that is what Jordyn called the little guy that is in the middle of the picture. He and his buddy scampered all around our campsite. They were adorable:)

Pine Valley Camping Trip!

We were short on funds this year but still wanted to get out of town for a couple of days. So where do you go when you want to have fun on a budget? Camping of course:)
This is just 13 miles in!!
And the girls were watching a movie so it was a very pleasant ride up there:)
We've been going to Pine Valley for years but this is the first year that all the camp sites that we would normally be able to go to were completely closed. This was a true bummer because they were nice and private and shady. The new sites are very close together and right up by the road and not as much shade. Trav and I had gone up there on a previous trip to St. George for a funeral and I wrote down the ones that looked decent before we made reservations. I'm glad I did because I think we got the best site in the place!! I still didn't like the place where we HAD to put our tents but I contined to feel better about it whenever I looked at other sites.
This is my stud muffin in his camo pants!! I couldn't look at him without smiling! Aiden seriously was a great camper. The only problem was worrying about him going out into the road. He never really did but he liked walking around the cars and we never knew if he might actually go out there so we were always walking after him. He loved camping. He just explored and walked and explored and played and explored some more.

 Beautiful scenery on our hike!!
A deer!!!!! Can you see her??? Her ears are perked up right in the middle of the picture!
Girls chilling out in the evening watching a movie! Now that is true camping, I tell ya;)
Makenna and Jordyn loved the besnoclears.:)
Stud muffin again in his camo pants and boots:)
 Girls exploring around our campsite!
Trav said Aiden looked like a little British boy with his hat on:)
Pretty Kenna! She LOVED camping!! She did not want to come home!! She was a great camper. She would even go squat behind the rocks to do her business!! That's my girl:)
Miss Jordyn!! She loved camping as well. She just didn't want to walk on the hike. She kept asking to get into Aiden's backpack carrier. Daddy finally put her up on his shoulders!

 Kenna exploring!
 Trav and the girls!
 Me and Aiden!
 Pretty lake!!
Crazy dude running around the cars! We had a great time and although I'm happy to be home with my bed and shower, I'm not happy about being back in the heat! :)

Our 4th!!

Our whole 4th of July weekend was pretty much working on the shed. We have been so thankful to my parents for helping us out and taking a ton of their time!! We are getting a ton done! We got all showered and headed over to Grandma and Papa's house for dinner and fireworks. They barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs and of course potato salad!! Yum!!
We also watched the Nathan's hot dog eating contest. The girls couldn't figure out why they were eating so much. They were pretty grossed out by it:)

Then we hung outside until it started getting darker.
The sparklers came out!!! My girls never wanted to hold a sparkler this early but that must be the difference between boys and girls!! Aiden couldn't get enough of them!! He kept staring at them and he would shake it up and down. It was adorable!!
Jordyn finally held her first sparkler as well!! She made me hold it with her for the first couple of times and then she got braver! :)
Makenna is the complete opposite of Jordyn. She loves fireworks!! She couldn't get enough of them. She kept pointing her sparkler in the air and calling herself Hermoine!! :)
Boys crouching down to light a firework!!
Had to have another one:)

Look Mom!!!! Wow!!!

Jordyn did really well for about half of the night until my parent's neighbors started shooting off very loud illegal ones right over our heads. The remnants of them kept falling on us. It was finally too much for her and she just cried to go inside. Sounds just like her mommy when I was young:) Good thing fireworks are just as beautiful from the wonderful safety of your house!
Couldn't even stay awake long enough to get home:) We had a wonderful 4th!!

Field Day!!

It's time to try and catch up on my blogging!!! I keep forgetting that just because I put it on facebook, doesn't mean I put it on my blog and since I can't print out facebook....:)
Makenna had her field day on June 3rd. I was able to come and also bring Jordyn. There were so many parents there that I didn't have to do anything but watch. It was great!! I hung out with Laura, Olivia's mommy and we were able to put our little ones on the games that weren't being used at the time so Jordyn had a great time as well!!
It was actually kinda chilly that day and since Makenna got soaked after her first station, she was freezing!! This was one of the few that didn't involve getting soaked.
Jordyn trying to get the ball to the end!
 Makenna doing the same thing:)
Makenna and Olivia were in the same group and they got to throw wet sponges into collanders on kids' heads!!
Jordyn trying to do the bouncing balls!

This was actually the first station they went to. They were supposed to pass the sponge over each other's heads and squeeze it out in the bucket but they didn't really get it. They thought you were supposed to squeeze the sponge on the heads! :)

Too fun!! They had a great time and they were quite pooped that afternoon:)

So thankful!!

As we were driving to church this morning, I was contemplating on the years past before I was blessed with these sweet spirits. There was a time when I didn't want to go to church on Mother's day because I was wasn't a Mom. And to go from there to wrestling with three kiddos in Sacrament meeting is a true blessing. I'm so thankful that I was given this opportunity to be a Mom and I hope to continue to get better at it. I also wanted to remember that Makenna went up and sang the Mommy dearest song so well this year. I think she did pretty good last year but it reminded me of the first year she could go up. She was standing right in front of the Stake president and after they starting singing, my sweet daughter gradually starting getting lower and lower until she was hiding beneath the wall. It was so precious and the Stake Pres even commented on her in his talk. Anyway, I didn't know if I had written that down before and I wanted to remember it. Miss Jordyn could have gone up there for the first time today but I really didn't expect her to since she is my shy girl!! Maybe next year....:)
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mother's in my life....Moms, sisters and friends especially my sweet Mommy!
