Silly kids:)

Makenna: Mommy, I want to be four again.
Me: Why?
Makenna: Because then I would have my own room again and Jordyn would be in hers!

Jordyn: I want this candy.
Me: You can have it the next time you go poopoo (trying to keep her going on the potty training).
Jordyn: ~goes right to the bathroom and starts grunting~

Me: I'm going to throw up if I hear this song again!! (The Dora 'I'm the map' song)
Makenna: (later on that day) Mommy, am I going to throw up???
Me: Do you feel sick?
Makenna: No
Me: Then why would you think you were going to throw up?
Makenna: Because I don't want to hear that song anymore either but I don't want to throw up.

Our newest addition to our family

Travis has been wanting another dog for awhile now. He would look at Craiglist all the time and show me all these adorable pics of cocker spaniels. I repeatedly said no. I didn't want to spend $150 for another dog (which is what people would ask for the 'rehoming' fee. And I didn't want to deal with training another dog when I had a new baby. But a couple of weeks ago, he came across a lady that was giving her cocker away free to a good home. I like free:) The couple was gone 18 hours a day and wanted him to have a family that would be able to give him more attention and love. Plus he was eight years old and already trained....another bonus!! So I agreed to go meet him at Sunset park. I wasn't saying yes to anything yet but I knew in the back of my mind that if we saw this dog that we would be taking him home. I was right. He was such a sweetie and before I knew it, we were driving home with him on my lap.
This pic is right after we got him and after a walk.

This is right after we got him cut:)

We named him Mahler because Trav loves the composer Gustav Mahler. There is a lot of cool trumpet in his music. I told him he could name this dog since I pretty much named Lady:)

He has been such a good boy! I really recommend getting an older dog. He is already house trained and knows what he needs to do. He is actually more of a dog than Lady is. Or should I say Princess Lady;) He loves the car, follows us everywhere (mostly Travis) and lays at our feet when we watch tv!! The only problem was that he wasn't fixed yet so we had to fork out some dough for that and he was humping my sibling's dogs. We took care of that Friday so hopefully that will be better this weekend.
This is right after we got him home after his surgery. Doesn't he look pathetic? :)

And princess Lady on the couch while Mahler is on the floor.

He found my boppy last night. He was so cute all curled up in it.
We already love him and are glad that he is in our home:)

Trip to the dentist

The girls had a dentist appointment today. Makenna was so excited to go! Jordyn didn't understand:)
This was the first time that Makenna didn't mind them taking x-rays. She didn't want anything to do with it last year. She also let the dentist check out her teeth with no problem. I'm very proud of my big girl! Unfortunately, she has two cavities because her teeth are so close and we haven't been good about flossing:( She has to go back to get them fixed and while they are at it, she will get a cleaning. She has to get some medicine to make her sleepy beforehand and then some laughing gas. I know she will do well but it still makes me a little worried!

Jordyn was excited to sit in the chair like her sister but wasn't as enthused when the dentist wanted to get into her mouth. She wasn't having it:) She had to sit in her Daddy's lap with her head in the dentist's lap while he checked her teeth. She cried but ended up doing ok.

They both were more excited about getting a goody bag. Makenna remembered that part from last time....(she has a great memory:)

Potty Training!!

This is what it has looked like at our house this week:)
Aren't those some cute Melmo (that's how Jordyn says Elmo:) panties??? We had an unusual not busy week this week so I decided to put underwear on my J.J. She had been saying that she needed to go potty here and there so I was hoping that she was ready! Day 1 went pretty well. She had about three accidents but many more successes. We ended the day very happy. Day 2 started hoping that day 1 wasn't just a fluke. She did better than I could have hoped! She only had one "half" accident. She started to go in her underwear but recognized it and stopped it and ran to finish in the bathroom!! By this time, I am getting super excited!! Day 3 was even better. She not only didn't have any accidents but she didn't need me to ask her constantly if she needed to go potty! She recognized it all by herself ALL day! She also did #2 with no problem at all! I'm so glad I didn't push her and waited until she was ready to do it. We had tried a couple of months ago and it was a ton of work and it wasn't happening. We stopped and tried again and now we have sweet success!! I am so proud of my Jordyn and so excited to have only one little one in diapers!! Good job sweetheart!!

Two month old baby boy!!

Our sweet baby boy turned two months old yesterday!! He has gotten so big and I just love his sweet cheeks. I can nibble on them all day. We had a doctor's appointment last week for him and he is already 12 pounds 8.5 ounces!! The nurse measured him at 22 inches but my doctor thinks that is wrong so we will see how much he's grown by next appointment! He was very happy with his weight though. I guess babies usually double their birth weight by four months and he is almost there at two!! I told him that I just needed my milk to come in. They always want me to supplement in the beginning and I just need to remember that my babies don't need that!! :)
Don't you just love those cheeks???

A rare occasion when he found his thumb:) I don't want this to become a habit but it sure is cute.

Chilling on Daddy's lap!

Aiden has been such a joy to have in our family! He is sleeping better....at the moment:) The past few nights he's been sleeping from about 10:30-4 or 4:30. He's back down around 5ish but then gets back up again an hour to two hours later. I'm loving the longer stretch in the beginning but I have a hard time going back to sleep so by the time I do fall asleep, he's back up again. I'm starting to wonder if I should just be up at 4 every morning. Even though that sounds horribly early to start the day every day:( I would definitely need a nap by afternoon. He usually has a long nap around that time anyway so if I could get my girls to cooperate, that might work:) Aiden is still really laid back and only cries if he's hungry. He doesn't even cry if he's messed in his pants. I love this little boy so much!! Happy two months sweet boy! :)

Joy School Graduation!

Makenna graduated from joy school!! We had a little party for them a couple of weeks ago and it was a lot of fun! I can't believe my first baby girl is going to Kindergarten in a couple of months! Crazy! Is she really old enough to do that???
Blaine and Kate got a bounce house and all the kids loved that!!

We also had a barbecue and after we ate, the kids were presented with 'diplomas':)
This is all the kids in her class.....Anikin, Mia, Sammi, Ocean and my Makenna

This is a pic of all the kids! We would take turns watching the younger kids so they could 'go to school' as well. Jordyn absolutely loved playing with her friends and it got her ready for when she does joy school.
Jacen, Jayna, Anikin, Abby, Mia, James, Sammi, Ocean, Lilly, Makenna and Jordyn

Makenna getting her diploma
Jordyn got something too.....a cute coloring book:)

The Daddy's got to have fun with a game (Bichi ball?) while the Mommies got to visit.

We all enjoyed ourselves and now I have a big girl ready for Kindergarten!
I had a lot of fun doing the joy school with Makenna and her friends this year. There were times that it was frustrating and hard (especially when I was nine months prego;) but it was such a benefit to both Makenna and Jordyn! I was amazed at how much they both grew throughout the year and how much they learned! I'm so glad I did it!! Congrats Makenna! You are such a smart girl and I am so proud of you!!

Prayers

Truly, the sweetest things are the prayers of little children. I love to hear what my girls will say every night. It usually involves blessing Grandma and Grandpa, Grandma and Papa and that we will sleep good and stay healthy. But lately it has also involved Grandma Great. Makenna would pray for her every time she prayed so now Jordyn has started praying for Grandma "Grape"!! It is so adorable how she says it. And last night Makenna asked that Grandma Great be healed!! She would usually ask for her to feel better but yesterday it was 'healed'! Where did she get that? It was so sweet. I love those little girls and love their sweet hearts:)

Aiden's blessing day!

Aiden was blessed by his Daddy today! He got to wear the shirt that his Daddy wore when he was blessed and we found some cute shorts and sandals for him to wear with it! (We couldn't find white sandals so Travis spray painted them white and they turned out great!) I thought he looked adorable and thankfully he did a major blowout right BEFORE I put his blessing clothes on!! Phew!!

Aiden and his sisters!

All of Travis' family was there, my Mom and Dad and my Aunt Pam and Uncle Robin. My Uncle just missed the blessing so he wasn't in the circle. It was Grandpa Millett, Grandpa Dunsmoor, Brian, Kevin Ferre (works with Travis and is in the bishopric of Gordon and Nancy's ward) and Bishop Turner stood in the circle with Travis.
Trav's side of the family after the blessing! I love that Jamie is kissing her Daddy in this...so cute!

Aiden and I with my parents!

Family of FIVE picture!

So cute!!

Love that baby boy!!

He was not liking the sizzling HEAT! None of us were! It was sooo hot!!

What a beautiful little girl! I love those eyes!!

My beautiful big girl!! She is such a girly girl now....loves to wear necklaces:)

I don't think they could be any cuter!

My favorite pic of him and I!

He got to wear the ring that his Grandpa, Daddy and both of his sisters wore!

He finally fell asleep! Too much excitement and too much heat for little man! What a wonderful day and we are so thankful to have had so much family around us today!!
