This is what my independent little two year old says to me all the time!! For everything!! And it's driving me crazy. She wants to do it herself! She wants to do the buckles on her seat belt by herself. She wants to put the tops of her sippy cups on all by herself. She wants to put her shoes on all by herself. She wants to put her food in the microwave and push the buttons all by herself. She wants to push the button to close the garage door all by herself. She wants to get up on the toilet to try to go potty all by herself (even though it looks like she is going to crack her head open climbing up). And my least favorite of all....she wants to put on her diaper all by herself. Some of these are obviously good because she is learning to do things 'by herself' but sometimes they are hard. Like the buckles one. Sometimes I have to fight her to even get her in her chair and I have to hurry up and put on her buckles so she doesn't squirm out but then she has a hissy because she wanted to do the buckles! I DO IT!! Ugh! I just wish that she would sometimes "let mommy do it!!" Or at least help:)

That picture is adorable! I remember another little girl who did the same thing. It is just an age thing.
Tell me about it!!! It’s generally fine, unless I’m trying to get out of the door for work. OR – when the non-stop tantrum starts because I didn’t let her “do it”. Good thing our girls are so cute, huh! :-)
Believe it or not, Stacy was the very same way at her age. It must be an age thing. ...or maybe the 'second child' syndrome. They want to do everything the older one does. Cute. At least she is learning lots of new things. She is so adoreable.!!
