I think I know about politics more than the average person. I usually kept up with all the goings on until it got too much!! Maybe it was because I am pregnant and can't stand to hear how our government is screwing things up, but I couldn't pay as much attention anymore. I just wanted to bury my head in the sand like everyone else does. But my hubby told me something last night that really pisses me off!! The Senate voted last night to be able to 'debate' their health care bill. They needed all 60 votes from their democrats. One of them wasn't going to vote for it....Louisiana. So, what does our lovely leaders do??? Oh, they add a thing into the bill that gives Louisiana 300 million!!! They tried to be sly in a way.....they just said you had to have certain requirements. Requirements that only Louisiana meets!!! So literally they BOUGHT the Louisiana Senator's vote with our MONEY!!! Not that there wasn't enough money being put into it already!! How can they do this???? It enrages me that they can just buy votes like that and Senator Reid (our Senator) smiled as he did it!!! I can't wait until he gets voted out and kicked out!! At least he better! Because I can't stand these idiots anymore and I really don't understand how they are able to do stuff like this!!

Yeah. He needed her vote so he wrote in the bill that states that have been ruined by hurricanes can get free health care. He didn't actually say Louisiana, but it was very clear. He bought off alot of other senators also. This one was very blatant. Dad says it is politics. I think we are all getting tired of it.
All this government crap reminds me of the saying about the last days, that the "government will hang by a thread". Just goes to show things are gonna get worse before they get better and we can't do a dang thing about it. They sure are cutting all their threads, aren't they?
