Love for the Moms

In honor of Mother's day tomorrow, I want to tell our Moms how much they mean to us and we are so thankful for them in our lives. We love you!!

My Grandma....my kids' great Grandma! This is her first time meeting Aiden! We are so thankful for all that she has done and had to sacrifice in her life to raise her five children.

My Mom!! We are so thankful for all that she does for us and being there when we need her. And she loves our kids just as much as we do which means a lot!!
Trav's Mom! We are also thankful for all that she does and that she loves our kids as much as we do.

And I'm thankful for a wonderful husband that brings me home beautiful flowers and breakfast in bed!! Love you honey!

He wasn't supposed to get me in the background of this pic nursing Aiden:P O-well.

And to our honorary Mother......Aiden's second Mommy, Miss Makenna!! She loves her brother so much and feels so bad after what happened the other day. She was holding him and got up and started walking around with him. I didn't see this since I was changing Jordyn's diaper and next thing I know, I hear a 'thump'. I rush over to the front room and Aiden is laying on the floor on his back and Kenna has this awful look on her face. I freaked out and examined Aiden up and down and he stopped crying right after I loved on him. Makenna ran up the stairs balling her eyes out. I felt bad for both of my 'babies'. I know she didn't mean to drop him and it broke my heart that she was so upset. But at the same time I hoped that it taught her a lesson to not walk around with him. I calmed her down after I calmed down and took her to school. I was worried and weepy all morning and finally called a pediatrician in our ward (his son is in Kenna's joy school) to see if I could come over and have him check Aiden out. He was more than willing and gave him a full examination. He told me he was fine and then I was finally able to relax a little bit. I still wouldn't put him down for the rest of the day though:) A very scary experience (one that I hope not to repeat) but that is the life of a MOM!! You never know what the day will bring you. Frustration, sadness and maybe some irritation but oh so much joy and happiness that can fill your heart and more!! I'm so thankful that my Heavenly Father trusted me with these sweet spirits and allowed me to be a Mom and I just hope that I can do as good of a job as the Mothers in my life.
Our sweet second Mommy!! :)

The joys of Motherhood

We see a lot as Moms. There are a lot of ups and downs. A lot of kisses and a lot of tears. But whether they are happy or sad, I love being there to lift them up or encourage my girls. Makenna has gone through a lot of emotions today. She went with daddy to get me a mother's day gift and he got her a tinker bell necklace. She was so excited and told him that she loves going shopping with him. She was so happy when she showed me. Not even a full day later, it's broken. She was so upset but I sat here rubbing her back and found her another necklace to put her tinker bell on. She is happy again. She has also now figured out the consequences of drinking too much apple juice. I usually get them those apple juice boxes with their happy meals at McDonalds. Since they love them so much, I thought it would be good to buy them at the store instead of capri suns. Big mistake. Since she loves them, she got like four of them and drank them yesterday. She is paying for it today and had an accident before she could get to the bathroom. She was so upset that she didn't make it to the toilet in time. There was this horrified look on her face that actually made Travis and I smile. She kept saying, "I was going to go potty and I pooped in my pants!!!!!" I tried to calm her down and get her on the pot but she was just so embarrassed. I told her it happens and she cried, "I pooped in my pants like J.J!!!" I am now back to making her feel better. And as I have been writing this, Jordyn took her diaper off and was running around bare butt. She has such a cute bum that I didn't immediately put it back on. Well, a few minutes ago, she peed on the bathroom floor and started playing with it with her foot. Gotta love it!! At least it was on the tile.
But even though it's been a crazy day, I love those little munchkins and am so thankful to be their mom! They are so special. They are my life!
Happy Mother's Day as well to my mom that shaped me to be the kind of mother that I am. I am so thankful for that loving example all my life. And also to my mother in law that raised my wonderful hubby that let me sleep in and served me breakfast in bed this morning!!

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day first to my mom! I'm so thankful that I was sent to you. You are an amazing mom and an even better grandma. I love that they see you on a very regular basis and get to grow up with you too. We are so lucky. Also, to my grandma who is such a loving and caring woman and who I hope to have many more years with. To my mother in law who raised a wonderful man and loves my kids. That wonderful man who took the girls downstairs and let me sleep in. Who cooked me french toast and bacon and eggs and served it to me in bed. And who is an amazing father (love you babe;). And Happy Mothers Day to my sister and sister in laws and to all my friends. I hope you all have a great day!!
