Nascar Race

They gave away free Nascar tickets to teachers so we were able to go to the race over the weekend. We pretty much gave up on going anymore a few years ago because it gets expensive but you can't beat free!!

We got there and browsed around. There was this dodge area that had sports cars taking people on some wild rides. We also got me a hat at the Tony trailer. Guess who's trailer had the most people? Not Tony, or Gordon or even Johnson! It was Danica Patrick!! She's raced a whole three races and I've never seen lines this long! Crazy!

We wondered how good our seats were going to be and we were very pleasantly surprised. They were even a little better than the seats that we spend some good money on and we got to sit on the end!! How lucky were we??? Yes! I didn't have to climb over people with my huge belly to go to the bathroom.

Tony's car!

Joe's fave...Kurt Busch with the Shelby pace car.

Tony again with dumb ol' Gordon

This was the flyover by the Thunderbirds during the National Anthem!! It was very cool!!
And this is a restart:)
We had fun and we didn't have to wait too long to get out since we left early. You don't feel guilty about leaving early when you didn't pay for anything:)

Miss Elly

I massaged this sweet old lady tonight named Eleanor. Her body was slouched. Her shoulders were completely uneven. She has Parkinson's and many other ailments. I felt like I was going to break her. She could hardly hear and her hearing aid kept squealing every time I got anywhere near it. As I was massaging her, I thought of how darling this elderly lady was despite all of her problems. How I wish we all could have such positive attitudes. Heaven knows I come across some grumps that don't have to deal with any of the same issues but have the worst attitudes. I tried to give her the best massage that I could and at the end of it, she looked right at me and told me to remember her! She said, "You do wonderful work. Don't ever forget it no matter what. Even if you have bad days and wonder why you do this sometimes, remember me! You have made me feel so good. I am sore everyday but I'm not sore right now. I may be sore tomorrow but I feel amazing right this minute. Thank you so much for doing what you do and making people feel better. It is very important!" Afterwards, she gave me a big hug while I tried hard not to tear up. I will remember you Miss Elly. I will!!

Back to the temple

I love the temple. It's so peaceful and beautiful up on that hill. I'm so glad my mom and dad watched the girls so we could go on Saturday to my cousin's sealing.
Trav got this cool shot.

My grandma looked so cute;)
I can't wait to go again. It will probably be in Palmyra next time;-}

Eight years!

I can't believe it's been eight years since I got lucky and this handsome man married me;)

We have known each other most of our lives now....I guess that's what happens when you get older;-) We've known each other since we were 12 and both of us had high hair!! I think it's so cool that we can look back on our school years and remember friends and teachers that are exactly the same.
I think this is a High School pic though;)
Jr. High

We got back together again in our early 20's after I had a dream about him;)
Sigh...look at how young we look!
I called him, we went out and he called me everyday after that. We got married two years later.
We had our first baby shortly after we got married;) Well, the furry kind!

And now eight years later, we are a family of four plus a furry one. I love our happy, little family and I love my sweet, amazing husband. Happy Anniversary babe!
(Yes, this pic is a year old but I like it;)
