If you are old enough, you will have said that in your head with a Jamaican accent:) I say that to Travis when I'm talking about his callings. He's got four!! And they were all music until today. He is in the Stake Orchestra, Ward Chorister, Chorister in Elders quorum and was the Choir director. He is now the first three plus Sunday School teacher for the 12-13 year olds.....(you know because he doesn't get enough of those kiddos during the week....lol)! I know he will do great though because he is awesome and I think he is also relieved to be done with choir. He is just not a choir person. He tried to be. He really did. But knowing about music doesn't always include singing. He teaches kids how to play instruments, not how to sing so it was a struggle for him. And of course it doesn't help when no one shows up for the practices. So, I'm happy to see him move on to something else. I hope he enjoys it:)
I was also wondering why the men in our ward have to shave when they get certain callings. We just got a new bishopric and a brother in our ward walked in completely shaved. He has had a goatee for forever!! We knew that he had to be one of the men being called and we were right. So my question is why??? Why does a clean face equal worthiness??? In all of the pictures of Heavenly Father and Jesus, they all have full beards. Some men look way better with them including my hubby. I liked him when he was clean shaven better for a long time but I have gotten so used to his chin hair that I much rather have him with it. He has shaved it a couple of times and both times, he has grown it right back. It just didn't look right on him anymore to be without it. My dad also has a full beard. He has always had a full beard since I can remember. One time his work told him he had to shave. He looked like a completely different person and we all hated it!! Including his work:) They told him to grow it back shortly after!! LOL! I'm just saying!! :-)

Who is in the new bishopric? Would I know any of them?
You sure would Jess!! It's Mark Turner with counselors Cruz and Lamereax!
Thanks for the info.! That is a great bishopric!
Travis will do a great job. I don't know why they want men clean shaven. It is not every bishopric that has that as a requirement so I don't think it is coming from Salt Lake. We have had people in the bishopric with beards. Who knows. They are just as good with beards as they are without them.
4 callings, mon! I totally read it in the Jamaican accent. I don't know if there is a guideline that you need to shave, but I know Sheldon shaved his off when he was called to Bishopric. Sounds like Travis is in store for some serious blessings. :)
I'm sure Trav will do a great job teaching the 'tweens'. It will be different than school since it is gospel related instead of music. Glad he doesn't have to shave; but hope he will wear a dress shirt AND tie. Example is still the key.
Luv ya, son!
