One year stats

Mr. Dude got his one year check up today. He actually came down with a high fever last night so he wasn't able to get his shots but I figured I might as well keep the appointment and get his check up done. Plus, his doctor was able to make sure he didn't have anything serious:)
His weight is 21.6 pounds (25th percentile), his length is 30 inches (50th percentile) and his nugget was in the 60th percentile! He's doing awesome and almost has the walking down. He walks all over and getting further and further before he falls or drops. He got his bottom left molar on Sunday, the 24th and he's working on that last one on the bottom left. He's had a low grade fever all week and the poopies trying to get that tooth through and it still isn't. Poor guy!!
We got pictures taken and will post them on here as well:)

Little man is walking!!

Little man is finally getting better with his walking. The girls were walking before they were a year but he has taken a little longer:) He's so cute too because he walks with his arms in the air. We call it the monster walk!!

Oops!!

He's so proud of himself....and so am I:)

And....the reason why I can't even have a second of not worrying about Aiden getting into something. He won't stay sitting in his high chair for more than five seconds!! He can even escape when his buckles are on! He is the baby Houdini!!

Then as I was taking his picture, he had to look all sweet! He is sweet....my sweet little baby boy!! I just wish you would sit down dude!! :)

Party, Party, Party!!!

*I really hate how blogger does pictures so sorry if they look stupid. I was tired of trying;)*
*This is also way late! It's been a month since her birthday so I guess it's about time I got it blogged. I blogged about her birthday with just her family but not her big party!!!*
For Makenna's sixth birthday, I knew it was time to have a friend party. We had only done family parties before but I felt it was time once she started Kindergarten to let her invite some friends. I searched the internet to find a cute idea for her party. I didn't want it to be the same as every other party. I found this adorable idea to have a "pretend sleepover". It was awesome! First, I had to do the invitations!! I made them each little pillows that they can later use for their dolls with their names on them. I then wrapped the invitation with the pillow with a ribbon (not pictured because it is on my ohter camera). Makenna got a special crown put on hers because she was the princess for the day!! :)

We invited like 11 girls and ALL of them came except one so we had 12 little girls over including my girls. My little girl must be popular:) I had them do a craft (a door hanger for their room to keep with the theme). Once they were done with their craft, Travis painted their faces and made little rainbows and stuff. Then it was time for the movie!! They got their blankets and pillows all set up and they got ready to watch Tangled!! Trav left to get the pizza which we passed out to them when he got back along with cheetos (Kenna's fave) and capri suns.

After they were done eating, we (I had great help....Mom and Mom in law and my Dad, Sis in law and of course Trav was amazing!!) took turns with them all and painted their nails. I had a bunch of different colors for them to choose from and then they got to keep that color of nail polish to take home!
After the movie was over, it was time for cake!!
This is out of order but these were their goody bags!! They had rings, nail polish, sparkly pencils, ring pops and suckers....and of course their door hanger:)

 Makenna getting sung to!!

She then went to open presents while we served the cake.

It ended right on time!! I timed it perfectly! We didn't have to rush and we didn't have to figure out anything to fill up time!! It was awesome! It was a ton of work but I wanted it to be wonderful and personally I think it was perfect!! She kept thanking me for a long time afterwards!!

Happy 1st Birthday Aiden!!

My sweet little baby boy is ONE today!! I can't believe a whole year has gone by since this little angel entered our family! He has brought us so much joy into our home and we love him so much!! He isn't walking quite yet. He's taking steps but not totally walking. He would much rather crawl....it's faster:) He has a total of 10 teeth now. His bottom right molar and his top left molar came through just before his birthday. He is very laid back but is starting to become a big Mama's boy! And speaking of Mama....that was his first word and he says it all the time. That and Baba! No Dada yet:) He loves to eat pretty much everything I give him especially bananas and alfredo. Aiden sleeps all night but will most likely wake up too early for me but I can't complain. He still takes two naps but I always have to wake him up from his morning one to pick up his big sis from Kindergarten. Poor guy never gets to sleep as long as he wants to. He is also giving out lots of kisses. He smothers me with them when I sing him his songs when I am rocking him before bed. He kisses me and then gets a huge smile and then lays his head on my shoulder. He will do this over and over and over!! He is the sweetest little dude and I am so thankful to have this little spirit in our home!!

His party is Saturday so today I just made him his favorite dinner so far....chicken alfredo (he went crazy for it when he saw it) and then he got a cupcake to devour!! Here are some pics from our day!

Hmmmm....there's a foot!!

Makenna's birthday!

I realized that I hadn't blogged about Makenna's birthday yet and I better get it done before Aiden's birthday....or at least the first part:) I personally think I had as much fun as the birthday girl....well, almost as much fun!! :) I took cupcakes to Makenna's class that morning and she was having a blast being the center of attention! Makenna with a couple of her girlfriends!! She is a whole head taller :) I made pink and purple princess cupcakes!! :) After Kindergarten let out, I took her for a Mommy Daughter date to the movies!! I kept going back and forth on what to see but we ended up seeing 'Mars needs Moms' and it was great!! Back at home, we waited for Daddy to get home so we could go to In n Out for dinner and get salad burgers:) She ended up wanting to go inside to sit down so her Daddy went in with her and had a mini date while I sat out in the van with the younger two. We went back home to have cake and presents!!

Blowing out candles:)

Then to the presents!!! I made her a baby book of her first year!!

Of course there had to be Rapunzel.....and Jordyn got Eugene:) And Grandma and Papa got her some cute shoes and some adorable clothes that were much needed!!

And the big present......her very own pocket trumpet!! She was so excited!! I love this picture:)

She was so happy that she was going to be able to start lessons with her Daddy!! She is so good. I can't wait to see how well she does!! That is the end of her birthday! I still need to blog about her party!!:)
