*I really hate how blogger does pictures so sorry if they look stupid. I was tired of trying;)*
*This is also way late! It's been a month since her birthday so I guess it's about time I got it blogged. I blogged about her birthday with just her family but not her big party!!!*
For Makenna's sixth birthday, I knew it was time to have a friend party. We had only done family parties before but I felt it was time once she started Kindergarten to let her invite some friends. I searched the internet to find a cute idea for her party. I didn't want it to be the same as every other party. I found this adorable idea to have a "pretend sleepover". It was awesome! First, I had to do the invitations!! I made them each little pillows that they can later use for their dolls with their names on them. I then wrapped the invitation with the pillow with a ribbon (not pictured because it is on my ohter camera). Makenna got a special crown put on hers because she was the princess for the day!! :)
We invited like 11 girls and ALL of them came except one so we had 12 little girls over including my girls. My little girl must be popular:) I had them do a craft (a door hanger for their room to keep with the theme). Once they were done with their craft, Travis painted their faces and made little rainbows and stuff. Then it was time for the movie!! They got their blankets and pillows all set up and they got ready to watch Tangled!! Trav left to get the pizza which we passed out to them when he got back along with cheetos (Kenna's fave) and capri suns.
After they were done eating, we (I had great help....Mom and Mom in law and my Dad, Sis in law and of course Trav was amazing!!) took turns with them all and painted their nails. I had a bunch of different colors for them to choose from and then they got to keep that color of nail polish to take home!
After the movie was over, it was time for cake!!
This is out of order but these were their goody bags!! They had rings, nail polish, sparkly pencils, ring pops and suckers....and of course their door hanger:)
Makenna getting sung to!!
She then went to open presents while we served the cake.
It ended right on time!! I timed it perfectly! We didn't have to rush and we didn't have to figure out anything to fill up time!! It was awesome! It was a ton of work but I wanted it to be wonderful and personally I think it was perfect!! She kept thanking me for a long time afterwards!!
