Yes, I know Summer has been over for a month and that is pretty much how long this post has been waiting for me to publish. It's just been sitting there waiting for me and I'm finally going to do it! Our summer pretty much consisted of swimming and movies! We couldn't afford to go out of town this year but we still made it fun! Some of the movies we saw were Shrek 4 (cute), Toy Story 3 (very cute), Grown ups (hilarious), Eclipse (awesome), Vampires Suck (Oh yes I did!), Eclipse again (oh yes I did!) Inception (in Imax...amazing) and The Switch (funny). I think that is all of them!! I was just loving the movie theater:) I don't think I have ever gone to see so many movies in the theater in such a short amount of time before. I think it was because I had a newborn and I seriously NEEDED to get out of the house. And yes, I did take Aiden to most of these!! I didn't take him to Inception because it was in the Imax theatre and was soooo loud!! And I think I left him with Travis while I went to watch one of the Eclipse movies or the Vampire movie. I can't remember which. But even when I did take him, it was totally fine because I seriously have the best baby!! I usually nursed him at the beginning to which he would fall asleep for a little while and then once he woke up, he would just chill on my lap and watch the movie with me. I think he loved all the colors!! I was totally prepared to take him out if he got fussy but I never needed to because like I said before, he is the best baby!!
We also got to do a lot of swimming! We were invited to the house of a new family in our ward and got to know them better. We also went to the rec center once and was invited by my brother and Jen Orme to swim as well!! It was so nice because the girls just love to swim!! I really need to get them into swimming lessons next year for sure! I even got some color on my legs...something I haven't had in years:-) Here are some pics from our water fun.....
This is at Danny's townhouse pool.

Trip to Texas
I'm finally posting about my trip to Texas!! I had such a great time and Sarah is such an awesome person. Her and James made me feel so at home. I felt just like family!!
In no particular order....
On Friday, we got to visit while the girls took a nap and then they took me to a restaurant called 'Little Mexico'. It was so yummy. It reminded me of Macayos (which I love). That night, we left to the mall to go see Twilight and it was sold out!! It was sold out after being out for two months! Crazy!! So we bolted to another theatre and got there just in time.....and thankfully without getting pulled over. The Grand Prairie police were in full force. They were pulling over like 6 people all in a row and were looking for more;) It was so good to see Twilight again and so fun to see it with Sarah!!
Sarah took me to get a pedicure and it was so nice. I haven't had a pedicure since I was pregnant with J.J. It was a very cute place too!!
We met up with Ashley who is just as cute and funny as I thought she would be. We have only known each other through e-mail and blogs and it was so nice to finally meet her.
A pic of our toesies!! Makenna keeps saying that she loves my flowers (I might have to find a cute place that does pedi's for kiddos for her birthday).
We also had a very yummy lunch at P.F. Changs! I haven't been there probably since we went with Sarah and James;) I don't know why because it is soooo good. What did you order again Ashley? I soooo wish these two girls lived by me!!!! It was so much fun.

Sarah and I also decided to indulge in a mini facial and massage!! Oh my goodness, it was so nice. It was such a pretty place and our massages rocked!! I need to do this more often to remind me why I massage. It is such a good thing to do for your body and to help you relax!! Can't you tell we are in another world???

We got to enjoy some good Texas steak at a restaurant called Saltgrass. They make all their seasonings and sauces from scratch and it was so good.

Right before I left, we went to downtown Ft. Worth to see their cattle 'run'. They didn't go very fast but it was cool to see.
The longhorns are neat to see up close!
Six feet long!!! Crazy!!
It was sad to leave my dear friend. We have been friends since we got married (we got married a day apart) and this distance between us hasn't changed it one bit. I'm so thankful to have such a wonderful friend.
