I thought Makenna wouldn't like getting her cast off but I couldn't imagine this......
It was hard to watch my baby girl scream in absolute terror. She was petrified! The nurse was not nice at all. She pretty much just came in, told her it was going to tickle and just started going. Um, hello....she's three. You don't just come at a little girl with a noisy machine that looks like it can cut off your leg. I was so mad at her. She even put two little cuts on each side of her leg. And of course that is all Makenna could think about when the doctor came in and she totally freaked out! The doctor said that she did indeed have a crack and that we would have to come back again in six months to make sure that her tibia doesn't grow faster than her fibula since it's getting more blood to it. He also said she would be limping around for a couple more weeks and to give her Tylenol. I thought she would be limping because she was bent up in a cast but it still seems like she is hurting. She didn't want to walk on it at all tonight and that surprised me since she was running with her cast on. She got better towards the end of the night so hopefully she will get the confidence she needs to at least limp on it. I took her potty right before she went to bed and she wanted to walk by herself. I told her I was proud of her and she replies, "See....now I don't have to go back to the doctor!" She does not want to go back so hopefully that gives her the motivation!! He also said she couldn't play at the park for a couple weeks which sucks because I told her I would take her when her cast came off!! I'm so glad the cast is off though. That girl needed a bath so bad and I'm sorry to say it but we didn't bathe her much when she had it on. It was just too hard to keep it dry. I gave her sponge baths but those only do so much;) Anyway, I'm thankful that we got it off of her and I am going to make it a relaxing day for her tomorrow. I leave in two days so I'm just going to enjoy my girls!!
