Couple things I've learned with the third....

(Turn away if booby talk turns you off:)
~I have always had a hard time pumping!! It would usually take about 20 minutes to get like 2 ounces! It was so frustrating. That's probably why I didn't go back to work until Makenna was a year old and Jordyn was eight months. I couldn't get any milk pumped for them to eat. With this one, I decided to try to pump on one side while Aiden was using the other side. It is amazing the difference. I can usually get about 6 ounces in 5 minutes and sometimes more depending on how full I am. I guess I need him to help me let my milk down. It's not as big of a chore as it once was.

~Even if you start giving your baby the bottle very early on, it doesn't mean he is still going to take it when he's older. My girls would never take the bottle so I was determined to make sure this time was different. I made sure he was used to me and then dove right in. He took the bottle totally fine. But for some reason he won't take the bottle now!! He probably knows I am about to go back to work. I have been giving it to him for the past week and he's taken it from me fine. Then yesterday, I left to go to the movies and he wouldn't take the bottle from Trav. He screamed for an hour and a half. Someone suggested laying my shirt or something next to him while Trav gave it to him so we did that today but it didn't work. He just cried so then I thought I would just get him going and then give him back to Trav. He wouldn't take it from me either. After an hour, Aiden finally took it from me and fell asleep! I go to work tomorrow and I am praying that he will eventually take the bottle from Trav. It hurts my heart to know that he will be crying and wanting his mommy and I will not be there.

~No matter how many kids you have, it will always be hard to leave them to go back to work no matter what age they are. It was hard even when my girls were older but it's going to be really hard with Aiden. He will be younger than my girls were and it will be interesting to see how it goes!

~The more laid back I am, the more laid back the baby is. He is probably my easiest baby and I'm sure it's because I'm not as crazy about everything.

I survived

Well, yesterday started off like I thought it would. I was tearing up before I even left the house. Jordyn was tired and was screaming for me and that was all it took. I was fine once I got to work until I realized that the one thing I forgot was my locker key!! That just pushed me over the edge and the waterworks started. Thankfully, my coworkers got me the things that I needed and I was fine after I started my first massage. She was very nice so that helped tons! I was just about booked so I kept busy and made good money!! That also helped;) I did have one lady that had a big attitude with a big scowl on her face!! I seriously don't understand that. Um.....you really should be NICE to your massage therapist! Hello people!!! We are the ones doing your massages and if you want a nice experience, then don't treat them rudely. I'm not asking for much. Just a smile and a little politeness will do just fine. Give me one little minute while I ask you a few questions and then we can proceed with a pleasant atmosphere instead of me wondering why you are being such a jerk!! She was getting a massage for heavens sake!! What could be bothering you so much that you can't be nice for one flippin minute!! Okay, rant over!! Then, of course I have to do a deep tissue on a guy for my last appointment. I was already tired and then the guy was HUGE!!! I was wondering if I would be able to do deep on this guy and he actually whimpered because I was going TOO deep!!! It was funny that I was able to make this big dude cry;) All in all, it ended up being a good day but it's kind of like working out for the first time in a long time. I was tired and sore in places I didn't remember having muscles but I'm sure it will get better. I survived.

P.S. Travis said everything went well with the kids but he just couldn't get anything done!!Ü

Hi Ho...Hi Ho....It's off to work I go!!

Well, as of today, I am officially back to work!! I am feeling a mixture of emotions right now. I'm excited to get back and help our financial situation. I'm excited that my hubby will be Mr. Mom while I'm gone and looking forward to how close he will get to his girls. He already is but it's different when you are the only one at home for a bit. I think it will be good for himÜ I'm also excited to see my old friends again. At the same time, I hate leaving my babies. I love being home with them. I hardly leave them so it feels so weird when I go somewhere without them. I feel empty like I've forgotten something. It will be good though for them to rely on someone other than their mother!! Makenna hates for anyone else to sing her songs before bed and I'm hoping that will change a little bit. It's hard when she doesn't want anyone else to do things for her. Just me!! I am very thankful that I have been able to stay home for nine months with Jordyn. I know some women only get six weeks so I know how lucky I am to have been able to have that time. I am also only working three days a week so it won't be too bad. (I couldn't be away longer than that). I also had a realization the other day. I should be feeling very lucky that I even HAVE a job to go back to. There are so many people getting laid off from their jobs that I need to remember how very lucky I am to be able to work. So that has made this a little easier although I know that I will be crying on my way to the spa on Thursday;(
