Disneyland day 2

We tried to get over to Disneyland super early that morning because it had actually stopped raining overnight and we wanted to get in as much time without rain as possible. Well, that didn't work out so well since it started raining again when we were about half way there. We were pretty gloomy about it but we got some little umbrellas on the way and it let up once we got there. It wasn't so bad on day 2 either. There would be times where it rained really bad but then there would be times when it would let up. We have gone to Disneyland every year at Christmas time since 2004. We have only missed one year and this is the wettest it has ever been. They said it was the most rain they had all year and we were there for it...yay!! Last year we went way too close to Christmas and it was insanely busy. This year we went a little earlier to hopefully avoid those crowds and I think the rain helped it to be slow so I will try to remember to be thankful for it. At least it wasn't too cold and we were able to stay pretty warm.

This is when we first got there. It was probably the emptiest I have ever seen it but we usually don't get there right around the time they open either.

There was no one by the tree so we took advantage and took a couple of pics.

Then we took a crazy picture in front of the castle:) It seems like we can never get all the kids to stay and smile at the same time!

This just shows how wet and soggy it was.

We rode on Thunder Mountain (Kenna got to ride it twice) and then we of course rode the carousel again. Look at the joy on her face!!

Don't look at my hair!! But look at that sweet boy!!

My sweet Kenna....she had a blast!!
Then we went to see Santa and his reindeer. This is the sleigh and they wanted to take a picture! Look at how soaked Jordyn's hair is and I love her sassy look:)

We never go to see Santa there but since the parade was cancelled and the line was short, I thought we would see him really quick. Makenna is so observant that she realized that it wasn't the same Santa as the one at the mall. She asked me why that wasn't Santa and I had to come up with a quick one about him being his helper:) This is a cute one where she is telling him what she wants. And of course Jordyn was still as freaked out as ever.

Look at the bottom of Jordyn's pants.....crazy!! It was so wet!!
Travis took some beautiful pics of the decorations!!

We also had to ride the dumbo ride a couple of times:)

I got this pic while the ride was going and you can see Travis in the background:)

And back to the carousel:) Good thing we could pretty much walk on this ride!!

We then ventured over to California Adventure after some shopping. Makenna got to ride the Soaring over California ride with Grandma and Papa while Travis and I took the little kids around to the kiddie rides.

This is a ride from Bug's life. You can barely see the top of Jordyn's hair:) She loved it but we got our bums soaked and after that, she started to be really cold.

Trav and Jordyn on the ladybug ride. She loved this one as well so she had to go on it again with me and with Papa later.

My parents were done with their ride so we met back up with them and Trav, Kenna and I went on the Tower of Terror!! I wasn't going to let Makenna go with us because I couldn't imagine her liking it. It's a scary ride!! But Travis wanted her to come and I'm glad she did because she loved it as you can see from the picture below. I don't think her smile could get any bigger!! She said she got a tickle in her tummy and wanted to do it again:)

Travis and I then took our turn on Soaring over California with Makenna while my parents took the little kids. Makenna was so funny because she put her arms up like the movie Titanic and kept telling us what was going to come next and to lift our feet at certain spots. She was so funny. It really started to pick up after that and we had pretty much done all that we wanted to do so we headed back to get warmed up and dry. Jordyn was really cold by that time. We had a great time even with all the rain and we are so thankful for being able to go.

We left for home the next day and I was very happy once we got through all of this!!! It was very scary. We couldn't see very far in front of us and we even hydroplaned a little. I stayed in back and tried to watch the movie so I didn't freak out too much:)

I took pics of the kids too but they didn't come out very well because we had the lens on the camera that made everything really close. I couldn't even take one of Kenna because she was too close to me!!

We were very thankful to get home safe and then had a nice time at home getting ready for Christmas!!

Cute pictures. We need to remember the fun and the smiles on the kids faces. And try to forget the rain. I love Disneyland at Christmas time.

Holy smokes, that is A LOT of rain. Your kids still look like they had a blast though, so I am sure it was worth it! (Especially with no one else there!!)

We did Disneyland on the 27th three years ago for our anniversary and we could barely walk from ride to ride because the park was at capacity. It was insane!
