Update

A thank you goes out to my best friend Sarah who pointed out a reaction to amoxicillan to me this morning. And to everyone with their concern. After looking it up on the internet and seeing pics of Sarah's babies rashes from it, I was convinced it was just that. But doctors and pharmacists want to tell me different. The first pharmacist that I talked to said if she was going to have a reaction to the antibiotic, it would have been within the first hour of taking it. The nurse had actually called a little earlier and after reporting to her that her rash got worse, she wasn't so sure about the roseola diagnosis either. She actually seemed surprised at that diagnosis last night. I should have asked for the doctor but didn't know I could (thanks for the info Jen;) So then the assistant to my doctor (or whatever she is) finally called back at almost 6:00. She still kept saying that she didn't think it was from the amoxicillan but I just don't think she wanted to admit that she was wrong. She called in a prescription for her and I was determined to have someone tell me that it could be possible that this is from the amoxicillan. I don't even know if it is for sure but I just feel that it is and I don't think it's roseola. Makenna had that and it doesn't even look the same. Anyway, I got to talk to my normal pharmacist that I always see and he just seems super smart. I took Jordyn with me so he could see her and asked about the possibility of a reaction to amoxicillan a week later. And he said you can most definitely get a delayed reaction!!!!! Especially if it's the first time she has taken it. It doesn't necessarily mean that she is allergic but it could definitely be a reaction from the antibiotic. Thank you sir for finally confirming to me what I already knew!! Jordyn now has some prednisolone in her and is in dreamland right now!! And hopefully it will clear up real soon. She is so covered in red spots that it is turning into one giant spot especially on her cheeks. It just looks so sore. I hope this medicine finally gives her some relief. And I hope we can stay clear of the sickies for awhile!!Ü

I'm glad the pharmacist helped. It really is frustrating not knowing what your baby has. I'm sure she'll be better soon.

I am so thankful that J. is better today. Her little cheeks are still burning hot though. She is such a little doll. Her beautiful smile makes my day. Love you J.
