You have to read my last post first....
It just keeps getting worse and I'm getting really worried. My doctor wasn't the one to see her. It was his assistant and I know I should still trust her but I'm a worrier. And I worry when my babies get worse, not better and there is nothing I can do for them. So, has anyone seen this with their own kids and was it just roseola? My friend Sarah said it happened to her baby when she took amoxicillan. Jordyn has been on that but started last Monday. Can she still have a reaction after all that time? She is going to be completely pink the way she is going!!
These pics really don't show how much she is covered;(

Yeah Sarah! Thank you for telling Krista about the antibiotic. We looked it up and the rash starts on the tummy and spreads the next day. Just like Jordyn. That is a relief. Poor baby!
YEah, thats SOOOOO what it is!!! Seriously...I am uploading my pictures to email right now of when this happened to Bella! It looks exactly the same! And for Bella it started at least a week after starting the antibiotics!
I'm so sorry JJ!!
Call the dr and have them give you something else besides amoxicillan or ANYTHING penicillan!! They have to have something, cause there are SOOO many kids out there allergic to things in that medicine family!
I love you guys!!!!
I was thinking the same thing. That happened to me several months back, when I was on a z-pack. I had taken them before but never had a reaction, til the last time. Maybe they used a different brand and she is allergic to the dye? I am sure she is fine, but I know it's scary. Rashes are so weird! Hope she gets all better soon.
Ohhh, poor baby!! I'm not one to talk about rashes/babies...it's been way to long! AND, I've dealt with this dumb shingles rash for so long I was afraid J.J. might have gotten something from me!! I'm with everyone else! Make sure the doctor---your doctor can give her something to help clear it up. She looks pretty tough, poor thing!
Your poor baby! It is scary, Daniel had a rash like that after taking antibiotic too.
Poor little thing. I hope she starts feeling better soon. Let me know if I can do anything for you.
We told Bella's doctor that she had a reaction to Amoxycillin when we lived in Vegas, and she gave it to her anyway. Of course we weren't lying and when she got a rash again the doctor made it sound like we hadn't told her how bad it was. Redirkulous.
my kids always get roseola (however you spell it). If I remember right, it peaks then starts to go away. Madison is allergic to amoxicillin (SP?) and she got a really bad rash but it was blistering more then just spots. Good luck if you need anything let me know! I haven't talked to you in a while we need to catch up!
Are you still seeing Lepore? I like his asst, but sometimes I just need Dr. Lepore to verify things. Don't ever feel bad about asking for him. I do all of the time and I just tell her that I am really worried and want his opinion too. She told me that it's always good to get a 2nd opinion and doesn't take offense in any way. It's his practice and he loves the special requests when it's something like this. I feel so bad for her. :(

One more thought....at least you didn't take her to you know who...he would just tell you to wash everyone's hands. ;)Sorry, couldn't resist.
Haha!! Jen!! Yes, it was his assistant chic and she's nice and all but I'm not too impressed with her diagnosis skills. I thought I could only have her when you ask for same day sick visits. I will definitely ask for him if I don't like her diagnosis next time.
